On May 17, 2025, Shonen Jump Plus announced that in the wake of their 10th Anniversary, they will be holding a one-shot adaptation project. Three One-Shot manga from Shonen Jump+ will be getting an anime adaptation under the three popular studios, WIT Studio, Production I.G., and Contrail, who are participating in the project.
The social media handles of Shonen Jump have asked the fans which one-shot manga they want to see get an anime adaptation. With that thought, here is our list of the top 10 One-Shot manga that could end up getting lucky due to the latest announcement.
1. Goodbye, Eri
- Creator: Tatsuki Fujimoto
- Published: April 11, 2022
- Japanese Title: Sayonara, Eri
Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto is known to produce magic with every one of his creations, and Goodbye, Eri is not an exception either. After capturing his motherโs last moments, Yuta turned them into a film. Unfortunately, the movie was not well-received, and Yuuta decided to take his own life. While attempting to jump off a building, he meets Eri, who encourages him to make a new movie and prove his haters wrong. Thus began a magical journey with Yuta, sprinkling his flavors all over.

2. Hero Complex

Capturing the perspective of human jealousy, Hero Complex is about two brothers, Kei and Akira. While the former is believed to be a future track star, the latter wants to create manga with his older brother as the lead. Even though Aisei is mourning the loss of his beloved, he decides to help them and accepts reality.

4. The Heroโs Party on Their Way Back Home

Nina along with the other three heroes, finally returns to their village after confronting the Demon King. During their return journey, Nina remembers how much her life changed from being an orphan to becoming a hero. But the end is quite far since she has some news to deliver to the villagers and does not know how they will react to it. The Heroโs Party on Their Way Back Home is highly rated by the fans and has a great chance to end up getting an anime adaptation.

5. Spring Returns to Aoiโs Room

Spring Returns to Aoiโs Room is only a couple of months old, but its popularity and the feel-good plot instantly made it a favorite to get featured Shonen Jump+ 10th Anniversary one-shot adaptation project. The story revolves around Aoi, leading a self-destructive lifestyle. However, she is not alone as spring has come, with cherry blossoms and butterflies entering her room and experiencing everything first-hand.

6. Nee Nee, Nene-san

When Nene Arisugawa had a bad day at the office, her two next-door neighbors started gossiping about it. Rintarou Kamioka learns that Neneโs diet mostly consists of processed food like cup noodles, protein shakes, and sports drinks, so he decides to cook delicious meals for her. Due to Rintarouโs initiative, the two became close, but the cook is still wary of Neneโs presence and how not allow her to go near a secret door in his apartment. Apart from being one of the highest-rated one-shots, Nee Nee, Nene-san is the only feature on his list belonging to the gourmet genre.

7. At the End of 4 Minutes

- Japanese Title: Yonfunkan no Owari ni
People are afraid of death, and At the End of 4 Minutes picked up the same scenario as its plot, exploring a new angle to it. The one-shot centers around an assassin named Anita, who does not have any relatives. However, her life turns upside down when she recognizes the Grim Reaper. She discovers that if she can evade him for 4 minutes, she can survive death, but only for this instance.

8. One-Armed Amy

- Japanese Title: Kataude no Amy
Dramatic, mysterious, and eccentric are the adjectives that can be extensively used when describing One-Armed Amy. Shun Akagiโs one-shot captures the life of Amy, an ordinary girl living with her father. However, she is not human as she is made up of clothes and cotton. Why was Amy created in the first place? How can a doll resemble a living creature, and what will become of her? These are questions that will be answered in the manga.

9. The Knight and the Corpse

- Published: December 7, 2024
- Japanese Title: Mukuro to Kishi
The Knight and the Corpse revolves around a knight who is tasked with protecting the royalty, only to end up unearthing shocking revelations. Wherever he goes, a corpse follows him, and he is unable to get rid of it. Created by the Claymore creator, the one-shot manga is pretty detailed and explores fleeting lives with a touch of fantasy. However, it does not make it a farfetched story from reality.

10. The Dragon Remains of Edo
- Creator: Yu Takahata
- Published: January 30, 2025
- Japanese Title: Edo no Ryuugai
When a dragon suddenly fell in Edo City, the people had to rebuild the city alongside the dragon. Several years later, when people started to suffer from the plague, Samurai Matsumichi heard that the cure was to be found inside the dragonโs body. As they ventured into the dragon, they found another individual exploring and managing the dragonโs remains. The Dragon Remains of Edo has great action sequences for a one-shot manga with stunning detailing.
