Following the success of Arcane, Netflix is coming with the highly anticipated Season 2 of the series this November. Based on the popular video game League of Legends, the series was equally beloved and the fans are excited for the second installment of the show. What is Arcane About?

Arcane displays the political relationship between the utopian city of Piltover, which is regarded for its wealth and innovations, and Zaun, which is an oppressed city. Two League of Legends Champions and sisters Jinx and Vi are on opposite sides of the spectrum as they go to war due to events that took place prior. 

Arcane Season 1 Recap

Powder and Vi, two sisters who lost their parents in the war between the wealthy city of Piltover and its poor counterpart Zaun. Along with two brothers Mylo and Claggor, Vander adopts the two sisters and raises them as his own.

During their days as a teenager, the siblings began stealing items from Piltover. After stealing crystals without realizing their abilities, Powder accidentally blows up a building. As Vander tries to hide the kids from the authorities, crime boss Silco captures him.

In an attempt to save her father, Powder blows up another building which ends up killing Mylo, Claggor and Vander. Since then, Vi abandons Powder, referring to her as ‘Jinx.’ She then adapts into Silco and his lifestyle, seeking fatherhood from him. This transforms Powder into Jinx, a fighter and thus, the conflict begins with her sister Vi.

Arcane Season 2 Release Date and Where to Watch

Arcane Season 2 is scheduled to release on Nov. 9, 2024, on Netflix. The show will have three acts releasing on Nov. 9, 16, and 23 respectively. Animated by Fortiche Production, the upcoming installment is the final chapter of the series, according to co-creator Christian Linke. 



What to Expect from Arcane Season 2

The second installment of Arcane is set to expand the events that took place in Season 1. Previously, we saw Jinx at the Piltover Council, launch the stolen Hextech Gemstone. According to Netflix, Christian Linke revealed that the characters who are considered morally sound will be challenged with the unavoidable circumstances that is the upcoming season.

โ€œI think a lot of characters are the goody two-shoes of Season One, trying to avoid the open conflict between the two cities, and then, at the end of Season One, itโ€™s no longer possible to avoid that confrontation. And so, Season Two really explores the dark sides of the characters.โ€
