How can the Gotei 13 possibly defeat Yhwach with his schrift, The Almighty? How can Ichigo stand on equal footing with the Quincy King when he is not even able to lay a finger on him? That too after his training at the Soul Palace? Well, we just have to wait a little longer!

What happened in the finale of Bleach TYBW – The Conflict?

Bleach TYBW – The Conflict, ended by introducing us to key battles that will decide the circumstances of the war. Yoruichi faces Askin Naak le Var after her brother is incapacitated by Quincy right in front of her eyes. His ability, Death Dealing, allows him to manipulate the dosage of anything to a lethal extent. He chooses the Reishi in the Wahrwelt as his medium, meaning he now has immunity to Reishi-based attacks. This proves to be a challenge because Yoruichi’s shunpo is based on reishi.

The cohort, consisting of Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia, Renji, Shinji, and Urahara, faces off against Gerard Valkyrie. The Quincy, rumored to be the heart of the soul king, proves to be a tricky opponent as his ability allows him to convert his body according to the damage he takes. This leads to a path of endless adaptation, which the soul reapers find hard to deal with.

Uryu finally divulges his ulterior motive to kill Yhwach on his own. He offers Ichigo a way out, a plan not only rejected outwardly by his friend but also thwarted by Jugram Haschwalth. The two quincies start fighting each other, Jugram with the Almighty and Uryu in his Vollstandig form. Ichigo and his friends make their way to the highest echelon of Wahrwelt to defeat Yhwach.

What to expect in Bleach TYBW Part 4 – The Calamity?

Following the events of the finale of Bleach TYBW – The Conflict, it can be surmised that the stakes are the highest at this point. With the worlds of the Living, Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo on the brink of collapsing, the shinigami will have to find a way to defeat this foe who has attained godhood.

Yhwach’s back story may also be explored, looking back at his first attempt to invade Soul Society with his original Royal Guards comprising Johann Seydlitz, Hubert Alexander Kleich, Algora Lallau, and Nikita Deslock. His remaining bastions, Askin and Gerard, will fully flaunt their abilities. Not to spoil you, but look out for Toshiro’s adult form and Zaraki Kenpachi and Kisuke Urahara’s Bankai!
