Boichi’s Dr. Stone manga wrapped up on March 7, 2022, after the release of chapter 232. Currently, Dr. Stone: Science Future is ongoing, which is the final season of the anime. Amidst all this, Boichi has begun his next work, The Marshal King, and released the first chapter on February 7, 2025.
The Marshal King brought back Boichi’s old art style. While Dr. Stone was related to science and took place thousands of years into the future, The Marshal King is set in the age of desperados and emits the vibe of a Western Saga.

The Marshal King Begins With Bloodshed and Betrayal in the Desert
Boichi’s The Marshal King is based on the life of Jim Godspeed, the son of M. Godspeed. M. Godspeed is a legendary outlaw who has ruled the desert for several years. Thugs and officials fear him due to his strength and abilities. The Government has put a bounty of ten million on his head. While none were able to defeat him, his son, Jim Godspeed, killed him and dragged his coffin through the desert.
A few sheriffs caught him in a near-death state. They learned about him and that he was carrying M. Godspeed’s corpse. They planned to throw Jim in the ruins, get the corpse of his father, and divide the ten million equally. Unknown to them, a few people were hiding inside the ruins, who drove a weaponized car. They killed a few of the sheriffs and went for Jim’s head.
However, Jim destroyed them in his weakened state with his father’s coffin. He left the remaining sheriff terrified. Such a strong introduction of the main character is more than enough to get the fans glued to it. Boichi is a talented artist and his creations always leave a strong impression. The first chapter set the tone of the manga and it is better to say that it will have a lot more action in the future.
Jim Godspeed’s Path from Outlaw’s Son to U.S. Marshal
M. Godspeed’s name is known worldwide as the greatest outlaw. He was quite powerful but was killed by his son, Jim Godspeed. Even though it got him the ten million bounty, he did not care for it. He wants to become a U.S. Marshal. For that reason, he took his father’s life since it is a Marshal’s job to take the life of an outlaw.
Even though he was neither a son of a Marshal nor a Ranger, he got enrolled at the Western U.S. Marshall Training Institute. The chapter ended with Jim wearing his uniform, taking his weapons, and getting ready to attend school. He is ready to become the greatest Marshal, with the blood of the greatest outlaw ever.
