Re: Zero Season 3, episode 10 was released on February 12, 2025. Everyone eagerly awaited the episode since the heroes were fighting the Sin Archbishops. After Crusch is poisoned by Capella, everyone is scared that she might not live. However, things have improved since then, but the Sin Archbishops still pose a great threat to the kingdom of Lugunica.
In Re: Zero season 3 episode 10, three Sin Archbishops were shown – Lust, Wrath, and Greed. However, the episode was mainly focused on the last one, Sin Archbishop of Greed, Regulus Corneas. Reinhard van Astrea, Emilia, and Natsuki Subaru jointly faced him. During the fight, fans got to know about Regulus’ Authority, and it came as a shock to many.

What Is Regulus Corneas’ Authority In Re: Zero?
Regulus Corneas is the Sin Archbishop of the Witch Cult, representing Greed. In the latest episode, he was facing Reinhard, Emilia, and Natsuki. Even though Emilia and Reinhard were simultaneously attacking him, it barely had any effect on him. After trying on several plans, Natsuki Subaru finally figured out Regulus’ true abilities. It was shown that he did not have any body temperature or heartbeat.
Lion’s Heart
Putting his brain to use, Subaru found out that Regulus’ abilities consisted of mainly two things – Lion’s Heart and Little King. The Lion’s Heart grants him the ability to freeze time for his body. When using the technique, his heartbeat, gravity, air resistance, etc., everything stops for him. He can also stop the time of other objects. However, there is a limit of 5 seconds to use this ability. If he uses it more than the mentioned time, his heart stops.
Little King
Another ability that he uses is known as the Little King. Little King allows him to share a part of the Lion’s Heart with other people, especially his wives. It resembles a little kingdom where every resident is provided something. The Little King ability is used to counter the 5-second limit of the Lion’s Heart. He used his wife’s heart while activating Lion’s Heart, and if he used it for more elongated periods, the wife would suffer or die. For that reason, he had multiple wives.
Regulus Corneas’ Character Has A Deeper Meaning
Re: Zero Season 3, episode 10 showed that Regulus Corneas is quite a powerful foe. Nothing seemed to work against him. But Natsuki Subaru’s quick thinking made him realize something that will prove to be crucial in the fight against the antagonist. However, Regulus still has an upper hand with Lion’s Heart and Little King. Instead of using the abilities separately, he often combines them, making him practically immortal and invincible.
Having inserted small pieces of his heart inside his wives, he can use Lion’s Heart for unlimited time. It granted him the ability to use his Authority more easily. On top of everything, one of his wives had to be near to activate the power of the Little King. Even his name resembles the abilities he possesses.
The Constellation Leo is in the shape of a Lion. The brightest star of the constellation is Regulus, which is at the heart constellation, making it the Lion’s Heart. On the other hand, Regulus in Latin means little king. Both, Lion’s Heart and Little King are Regulus Corneas’ abilities in the Re: Zero. Natsuki Subaru thought about the similarities and found his weakness.
