Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 3 Episode 13 featured several fights in the Battle of Priestella. However, only Garfiel Tinzel vs. Eight-armed Kurgan’s fight concluded by the end of the episode. The fight began in one of the earlier episodes, but with Re:Zero focusing on a specific fight per episode, this battle had to wait for a few episodes.

The fight was, without a doubt, a visual treat for the eyes. The animation was pretty smooth, with the character design and color palette complementing it. While Re:Zero has had great animation after the return from hiatus, Vincent Chansard did a great job with the latest episode’s animation, especially when Eight-armed Kurgan finally drew all of his Demon Cleavers.

Who is Vincent Chansard?

Vincent Chansard’s Past Works

Vincent Chansard has worked as an animator, key animator, storyboard artist, and action animation director. His top work included being part of the key animation team during Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. One Piece is yet another anime whose animation is improving with each episode. The Egghead Arc had great fighting sequences like Luffy vs. Lucci, Zoro vs. Kaku, Law vs. Blackbeard, etc. During that time, Vincent Chansard was a part of the animation team. People can easily identify his animation since the color palettes are quite vibrant, the increased frame rates make the animation more polished, and the character designs are as detailed as they can be.

The same could be said for Castlevania Season 4. It is widely regarded as the best season of Castlevania, and the animation is one of the main reasons for it. His past works all follow the same pattern, yet they always turn out to be the best, even though people are familiar with the animation and art style.

Vincent Chansard is currently on a hiatus from One Piece

Vincent Chansard is one of the most popular animators in the anime and manga industry. His latest venture with Re:Zero Season 3 will further help him improve his portfolio, especially after his magnificent work during the Garfiel vs. Eight-armed Kurgan fight. However, the animator is speculated to be burdened with work soon. Currently, he is on a hiatus from working as an animator in One Piece.

It has been more than eight months since he was last associated with Eiichiro Oda’s creation. One of his reasons for taking a break was that his action storyboards were constantly modified. However, he is set to return during Monkey D. Luffy vs. Kizaru. With One Piece resuming in the first week of April 2025, he would only get a few months to explore other anime before resuming his One Piece journey.
