To Be Hero X is currently in its seventh story, featuring The Johnnies. Previously, it was Loli and Ghostblade’s story, but the anime will exclusively focus on the 5th-ranking hero. The Johnnies used to be ranked 15, but have climbed up the ranks since then. The Johnnies are the only heroes in Li Haoling’s magnum opus to be a duo rather than a single individual, and are a part of the DOS organization. Big Johnny is an animal-like alien, and Little Johnny is its owner.
Together, they form one of the strongest teams in To Be Hero X and have likewise earned people’s trust, increasing their Trust Value. While Big Johnny has no hobbies as such, Little Johnny likes internet surfing and asset management, even after failing multiple times. They also have a conflicted past and come from a family of heroes. Both Big Johnny and Little Johnny are dependent on each other, and their abilities help each other accordingly.
The Johnnies’ Origin
Little Johnny is the son of former Hero X, Ah Sheng, who specialised in healing and was regarded as one of the kindest heroes. During a mission, Ah Sheng discovered a crashed UFO and found a cat-like alien with a unicorn horn and pink pupils. The creature’s body was colored in white with a few large circular pink marks, including one on each cheek.
Due to his kind-heartedness, he soon took a liking to it and also feared that the animal might be experimented on if left on the spot. As a result, he took it home and gave it to his son Little Johnny, who has since treated it as a pet. He named the creature Big Johnny, who soon became a loved family member. From then on, Little Johnny and Big Johnny started training together to become a hero like Ah Sheng.

What Abilities Do The Johnnies Possess?
Being the 5th Ranking Heroes, The Johnnies are one of the most powerful beings in the To Be Hero X universe. Little Johnny has a psychic connection with Big Johnny and vice versa. When the former feels angry or some extreme emotion, Big Johnny can feel it too, which triggers its transformation.
Little Johnny possesses the ability of zoolingualism, allowing him to communicate with and control animals. In his hero form, Little Johnny gets two large pairs of ears similar to those of a dog. On the other hand, Big Johnny can transform into a gigantic beast, which is known as his berserk form. In that form, his color changes to black with the shades of pink changing to blue. In the berserk form, Big Johnny can destroy settlements within a few moments.
