After a great season featuring the Tsuchinoko and the Evil Eye, Dan Da Dan Season 2 is nearing its end. While the fans were introduced to several new faces in the anime, they have yet to experience another individual who will become Okarun and Momo’s ally. His name is Kinta Sakata, and he is one of their classmates at Kami High School.
It is fair to say that Kinta perfectly fits the squad of oddballs in Dan Da Dan and happens to carry a certain kind of charisma to his personality. Dan Da Dan Season 2’s last few episodes will feature the Kaiju arc, and Kinta Sakata will play a major role in that arc.

Dan Da Dan Season 2 Introduces Chubby Okarun
Kinta Sakata is a teenager with a round tummy, resembling a chubby version of Ken Takakura. He wears rectangular-shaped glasses with blue rims. Kinta has dark and short-trimmed hair with a middle parting, and wears the school uniform of Kami High School, and red and white sneakers. Kinta Sakata is a prideful person who often makes him an attention seeker among his peers. He shows his prideful self in front of the people of his own age, with zero interest in interacting with them.
His obsession as an attention seeker makes him wear an eyepatch and bandages, and appear to be injured in front of others. Kinta has an obsession with girls and often romanticizes Momo Ayase. On top of all his qualities, he always has excuses ready when things go south. However, the only good thing about him is that he dearly loves his family and wants to protect them from the unknown. Kinta Sakata is a mecha fanatic as he loves to collect mecha figurines and watch mecha genre anime.

Kinta Sakata Is A Genius When It Comes To Battle Prowess
Kinta Sakata is an ordinary human being with no special abilities. However, he did obtain a nanoskin from which the Ayase Residence was built after Evil Eye and Turbo Granny’s battle destroyed it. Since nanoskin acts like clay and can be made into anything, including complex structures, Kinta mastered the craft of using the nanoskin and used it for fighting. Combining his love for mecha and the craftsmanship of the nanoskin, he is able to build a massive robot and name it Great Kinta.
Kinta pilots the Great Kinta and fights against the enemies. The Great Kinta can launch powerful punches, chops, and grabbing techniques, making Kinta a useful ally to the protagonists. Apart from Great Kinta, Kinta Sakata can craft battle suits, vehicles, and other crucial equipment based on the situation he is in. He may not have supernatural abilities, but his knowledge helped him reach great lengths with alien technology.
