Sanda Kazushige is the descendant of Santa Claus in the Sanda anime. He never mentioned it to another soul and has been keeping it a secret for fourteen years. The only person who knew it was his mother, the previous Santa Claus. However, one of his classmates, Shiori Fuyumura, came to know about this and undid the seal placed on him that unlocked the ability for Sanda to transform into Santa Claus.
It was a shocking event for Sanda Kazushige as to how Fuyumura, a girl he barely ever made eye contact with, came to know about his secret. Unfortunately, Sanda does not know that Fuyumura was secretly observing him and came to the conclusion that he is Santa Claus.
How Did Shiori Fuyumura Learn About Sanda Being Santa’s Descendant?
Shiori Fuyumura has been keenly observing Sanda for some time. She discovered that Sanda Kazushige acts differently under certain circumstances. When Sanda is around, there is a possibility of snowfall and a drop in temperature, and he is never affected by the cold temperature. He avoids the color red, which happens to be the color that Santa Claus wears.
When someone asks Sanda to do something, he always tries to do it and never denies. Also, when anything about Santa Claus is being spoken about, Sanda avoids the conversation or acts as if he is not interested. These things raised a concern in Fuyumura’s mind about Sanda being related to Santa Claus.
How Did Shiori Fuyumura Learn To Break Santa Claus’ Curse?
Shiori Fuyumura is the daughter of Kumon Fuyumura, who is the leader of the Saint Nick Pursuit Unit (Red Coats). The organization is dedicated to finding the descendants of the visiting deities. While it has not been revealed, there is a possibility that the organization knows how to break the curse or has information regarding it.
After confirming that Sanda Kazushige is Santa Claus, Fuyumura started to perform certain tasks, which are essentially a way to break Santa’s curse. The task needs to be performed on a snowy day. So, when snowfall happened on December 25, 2080, Shiori Fuyumura set her plan in motion.
First, she asks Sanda to fulfill one of her wishes. So, she asked him to give her his eraser, and Sanda did it without asking any questions. The second and final task was to make Sanda wear some red. However, seeing Sanda refusing to wear it and trying to run away, Fuyumura stabbed him in his chest, causing him to bleed. The gushing blood turned his white school shirt red. Thus, breaking the seal and completing Sanda Kazushige’s transformation into Santa Claus.
