The Blue Lock Chapter 332 was supposed to reveal how Yoichi Isagi planned to deal with Hugo. Needless to say, the chapter did not disappoint, as they revealed Hugo’s philosophy and Isagi’s determination to outdo it.
The mangaโs previous chapter, Blue Lock Japan try to respond to France’s quick goal with their own strategy. Just as it seemed like Isagi was about to score, Hugo arrived to stop him. For a moment, it seemed like Isagi would outdo Hugo, but the French midfielder stole the ball away from him.
Blue Lock Chapter 332: Isagi Admits to his Proficiency as a Midfielder
Blue Lock chapter 332 picked up right from where the previous chapter ended as Hugo stole the ball away from Yoichi Isagi. As he made a strong pass to Julian Loki to the front line, he explained to Isagi that destiny wasn’t fantasy or something spiritual, but was logical.
Unfortunately for the French team, the pass never reached Loki, as Ikki Niko intercepted it on time. Niko knew the moment the ball would be stolen from Isagi, it would go to Loki. Hence, he prepared to reach the position beforehand. Niko then passed the ball to Meguru Bachira, asking him to dribble past the opponents using his dribbling skills.
However, the task wasn’t as easy, as the French team had assigned Camus to man-mark Bachira. Hence, Bachira found it difficult to formulate an attack and was forced to pass the ball to Hyoma Chigiri. As expected, Chigiri planned on using his explosive pace to cover the field. Unfortunately, even in his case, France had something prepared, as Leyden was able to keep up with the speedster.
Isagi could not believe that both Bachira and Chigiri were stopped. Everything Blue Lock had prepared as a backup plan was one step behind France. Just then, Hugo continued his monologue, explaining how Destiny was one’s aptitude. Physique, personality, and talent are all decided the moment one is born into the world. In other words, all human beings are born unequal.

According to Hugo, each of those individuals had a suitable way to live. A horse can run fast, and a bird can fly in the sky. As long as someone were to live in their natural state, they would have no trouble. The only creatures to live unnaturally were humans. Despite knowing their capabilities, they try to outdo them. If everyone lived out their aptitude, everyone could live happily.
This did not mean that people shouldn’t dream, but they shouldn’t dream beyond their station. This was the theory of suitable destiny.
Isagi knew exactly what Hugo was trying to say. He knew that he did not have the talent of a striker and, performance-wise, was much more suited to being a midfielder. However, based on what he learned at Blue Lock, destiny moved egoistically.
Right after, Blue Lock chapter 332 saw Isagi make a quick pass to Rin Itoshi, keeping the ball away from Hugo. The moment Rin received the ball, he got matched up against his former Master Striker at Paris x Gen, Julian Loki. As hinted at by the manga, this match-up is going to be an overwhelmingly shocking 1 vs. 1.
According to Blue Lock chapter 332, the manga’s next chapter, titled chapter 333 will be titled “Natural Born.”
