The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies, that’s a really long name! And guess what? There is no abbreviated alternative to it. The anime release date is out, and it will premiere on July 9.
The anime series is adapted from the manga of the same name, which was written and illustrated by Cocoa Fijuwara. Initially, the manga was serialized from September 2013 to March 2015 in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine. Subsequently, its chapters were collected and compiled into three tankobon volumes.
Additionally, Avex Pictures released a new PV of the anime on their official YouTube channel, showcasing Mira and Byakuya’s fight scenes, alongside the release date announcement. They also introduced the Opening theme “Unfinished Rendezvous” by Lezel, and the Ending theme “The Two of Us Are Always Good” performed by Mira & Byakuya’s voice actors.

Long story short, unlike the name!
The sinister group known as The Evil Organization is notorious for their tactics in invading and destroying everything in their path. Their cunning lieutenant, Mira, serves as the mastermind behind their operations and he is a trusted confidant of the king. Whereas, Byakuya, a girl plagued by misfortune finds herself tasked with thwarting the organization’s plans to conquer the earth. However, when Mira, the lieutenant is expected to confront Byakuya in battle, an unexpected twist occurs as love blossoms at sight between them. Thus begins the tale of a girl and an evil lieutenant who find themselves on sides but are reluctant to harm each other due to their newfound affection. How will this unlikely couple navigate their feelings, amidst conflict and loyalty?
