Oshi no Ko Live-Action Adaptation New Character Trailers

Oshi No Ko Live-Action Adaptation has revealed new trailers for each main character. Announced in January this year, the Oshi No Ko live-action series will be available to stream worldwide on Amazon Prime Video from November 28 this year, followed by a live-action movie by Toei on December 20, 2024. The live-action film is being directed by Smith, with Hana Matsumoto co-directing the TV series, the screenplay by Ayako Kitagawa, and the music composed by Fox capture plan. The Oshi No Ko live-action adaptation is inspired by the “Oshi No Ko” manga series by Aka Akasaka (Story) & Mengo Yokoyari (Art), serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 23, 2020.

Ai Hoshino: Asuka Saito

Ai Hoshino was a popular idol and the face of the idol group B-Komachi. She gave birth to twins secretly at 16 before being killed at the age of 20 by one of her crazed fans.

Ruby Hoshino: Nagisa Saito

Ruby Hoshino, is one of the main characters in “Oshi no Ko.” In her past life, she was Sarina Tendouji, a terminally ill patient of Gorou. After her death, she was reincarnated as the daughter of her favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. Ruby forms her own idol group, “B-Komachi” with her friends.

Aquamarine (Aqua) Hoshino: Kaito Sakurai

Aqua Hoshino, originally Gorou Amamiya, is the male protagonist of “Oshi no Ko.” In his previous life as a doctor, he was killed by a stalker of Ai Hoshino and was reincarnated as the child of Ai Hoshina herself.

Kana Arima: Nanoka Hara

Kana Arima is a supporting character in “Oshi no Ko.” She becomes the main member of the revived idol group B-Komachi. Kana starts to gain confidence after meeting Aqua and Ruby and through her rivalry with Akane.

Akane Kurokawa: Mizuki Kayashima

Akane Kurokawa is a supporting character in “Oshi no Ko.” She initially meets Aqua Hoshino as his co-star on the reality show “LoveforReal.” She becomes Aqua’s on-screen girlfriend after he helps her get out of a scandal. Though Aqua’s feelings are professional, Akane hopes it will become real one day.

Mem Cho: Ano

Mem-Cho is a supporting character in “Oshi no Ko.” She became a famous streamer by lying about her age after failing to become an idol. After the “LoveForReal” dating show, she got a second chance and joined B-Komachi at Aqua’s invitation.

Oshi No Ko Manga Plot

“Ai Hoshino” is a 16-year-old famous pop idol loved deeply by her fans. Ai announces a break due to health issues, which worries her fans. Gorou, a countryside gynaecologist gets to meet her idol when Ai comes to his hospital, only to find out that she is pregnant with twins. Gorou promises to help her deliver her babies safely. However, Gorou is murdered by a fan of Ai Hoshino on the night of the delivery.

Gorou is reborn as Ai’s son, Aquamarine “Aqua” Hoshino while retaining all his memories. Four years later, Ai is killed by the same fan who murdered Gorou, leading Aqua to suspect their father’s involvement. To find and kill him, Aqua decides to join the entertainment industry.

“Ruby“, Aqua’s twin sister is also a reincarnation of Gorou’s patient who also was Ai’s fan. They are adopted by the owners of Ai’s talent agency, ‘Strawberry Productions’. Ruby becomes an idol and starts a new group called “B-Komachi”, while Aqua becomes an actor, to search for their father. On the release of an autobiographical film based on Ai, both the twins finally get to confront the killer of their mother.
