Chugongโs Solo Leveling earned worldwide recognition after its serialization. It is often considered one of the torchbearers of the manhwa industry, showcasing to the world the vast and unique stories created within the industry. After the manhwaโs end, it was adapted into an anime by A-1 Pictures and likewise gained massive worldwide popularity. Sung Jinwooโs journey from the weakest to the strongest hunter had everyone glued to their seats.
Seeing its popularity, a sequel to the manhwa was announced, named Solo Leveling Ragnarok. The webnovel debuted on April 10, 2023, and follows the journey of Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-inโs son, Sung Suho. While all loved the webnovel, the latest news revealed that it has abruptly come to an end with chapter 375.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Creator Confirms Its End
Solo Leveling Ragnarok came to an abrupt end on July 23, 2025, with chapter 375. It has more than 78 million views on KakaoPage and had 104 chapters released simultaneously in the beginning. While Chugong created the main series, the sequel was undertaken by Daul. The webnovel was more detailed, with 105 chapters more than the original series, and the second-to-last chapter left the fans with a cliffhanger with Ragnarok, but suddenly everything came to an abrupt end.
The reason behind the light novelโs abrupt end has not been revealed yet, but the creator has left a heartfelt message for the fans ahead of the news. Daul tried to continue the legacy that Chugong left behind, and considered himself to be a humble โguardianโ rather than a โcreatorโ. He apologised to the fans for the ending and also thanked them for sticking with it for so long. However, Daul ended his statement with a cryptic message signalling that the franchise could return in the future.
What Does The Future Of Solo Leveling Ragnarok Hold?
Solo Leveling Ragnarok mainly focused on Sung Suho and his journey, but there were glimpses from the original story. Nonetheless, it was good to see the light novel ending on a happy note and a cameo from Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in. It was also weirdly satisfying to see Jinwoo and Antares being gaming buddies after what they had gone through in the main story.
While it is utterly disappointing for the fans to see the webnovel coming to an end when interesting things were starting to happen, there is still hope with the webtoon, anime, and a possible live-action.
