Who Are the 8 Pillars in Fire Force? Complete Guide to the Fire Force Pillars

Pillars are considered to be a force to reckon with in Fire Force. Each Pillar embodies a specific emotion that they readily showcase during battles or through their ideals. Fans have been introduced to multiple White Clad members, but there are a few that stand out, like Haumea and Sho Kusakabe. One of their reasons for standing out is that they possess Adolla Burst.

Even a few individuals from the Special Fire Force Companies also possess the ability. However, possessing the Adolla Burst is not the only requirement for becoming a Pillar. For now, nothing much is known about what helps in qualifying an individual as a Pillar. Currently, there are eight pillars in Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force. Here is a list containing the Fire Force Pillars’ names and other abilities.

1. Amaterasu

• Number: First Pillar
• Emotion: Madness

Amaterasu is one of the strongest characters in Fire Force, who possesses enough energy to generate fuel for a prolonged period for the Tokyo Empire. Amaterasu is a survivor of the Great Cataclysm, bound to the Adolla Realm. She can communicate with others using the Adolla Link. Being the First Pillar, she possesses Adolla Burst, and her Ignition Ability allows her to control and create fire. Amaterasu is a blonde girl with blue eyes. While it is unclear which side her allegiance lies with, she is shown to serve the purpose of the White Clad.

2. Haumea

• Number: Second Pillar
• Emotion: Passivity

Haumea is an active member of the White Clad, who is a Third Generation Pyrokinetic possessing Adolla Burst. She specializes in reading other people’s thoughts and emotions, with her Ignition Ability allowing her to manipulate electricity. Using electricity, she can send signals through another person’s body, allowing her to control their actions and emotions.

Haumea’s goal is to enlist more people with Adolla Burst in the White Clad. She seems to be a bit weird and mad, which is due to constantly hearing the dark and selfish thoughts of other humans. The most striking feature about her is the crown she wears. Instead of wearing it on her head, she wears it to cover her eyes.

3. Sho Kusakabe

• Number: Third Pillar
• Emotion: Apathy

Sho Kusakabe is the leader of the Knights of the Ashen Flame division within the White Clad. Being the Third Pillar, Sho’s Ignition Ability allows him to slow down the natural expansion of the universe through the Severed Universe. It makes everyone slow down over time, and only he can move at a normal pace.

Unknown to him, he is the younger brother of Shinra Kusakabe and was abducted when he was an infant. The Evangelist recruited him and turned him into one of their greatest soldiers. Apart from possessing the Adolla Burst, Sho is one of the few individuals to be a Fourth Generation Pyrokinetic. His facial structure is similar to his brother’s but with sharp teeth. He has white hair and red eyes.

4. Shinra Kusakabe

• Number: Fourth Pillar
• Emotion: Rage

Shinra Kusakabe is the main protagonist of Fire Force and a third-generation pyrokinetic. His special ability is to use the blasts from under his feet that help him move at greater speed and attack faster with more force. By increasing his firepower, he can potentially move at light speed, causing him to go back in time.

Shinra is a loyal member of the Special Fire Force Company 8, and his allegiance has always lain in protecting his friends. Due to unlocking Adolla Link and Adolla Burst, he has been constantly targeted by the White Clad, who want to make him join their side. Unlike his younger brother, Shinra has black hair but has the same red eyes.

5. Inca Kasugatani

• Number: Fifth Pillar
• Emotion: Destruction

Like Sho Kusakabe, Inca Kasugatani is a Fourth Generation Pyrokinetic with the ability to determine the path of the flames. Soon after she unlocked Adolla Burst, she became known as the Fifth Pillar. Inca has pink hair and eyes and has a cheerful personality.

Before joining the White Clad, she was a fire thief whose livelihood was based on saving people from fire and, in exchange, taking their belongings. The White Clad was persistent in making her join their crew after she came in contact with Amaterasu. One of the reasons for joining the White Clad was her sense of adventure. She wanted to have dangerous experiences and knew joining the White Clad would fulfill her desire.

6. Nataku Son

• Number: Sixth Pillar
• Emotion: Fear

Unlike others, Nataku Son did not come to possess the Adolla Burst naturally. Rather, Rekka Hoshimiya forcibly used a Bug on him, which helped him become a Third Generation Pyrokinetic. He was experimented on, and tests were run on him by the Haijima Industries’ scientists under extreme conditions. His fear of getting experimented on helped him in unlocking Adolla Burst.

His Ignition Ability allows him to create fire claws and a fire sphere with fire rings around them. These rings can shoot compressed cannons and can generate radiation. Nataku Son is the youngest Pillar in the series and has orange hair and eyes.

7. Sumire

• Number: Seventh Pillar
• Emotion: Disgust

Sumire Sugita is a third-generation pyrokinetic and is affiliated with The Holy Sol Temple. She is more than 250 years old and possesses some kind of immortality. She came under the influence of the Evangelist after they witnessed her disgust for the delusion that humanity possessed. Through the reflex of shivering, Sumire creates heat and then transforms it into kinetic energy. When the shivering gets stronger, she can even generate powerful earthquakes.

8. Iris

• Number: Eight Pillar
• Emotion: Despair

Iris is a member of Special Fire Force Company 8 and a former member of the Holy Sol Temple. Unknown to her, she is the Eighth Pillar and the doppelgänger of the First Pillar, Amaterasu. While the other Pillars possessed Adolla Burst, she had Adolla Grace. Iris’ Ignition Ability allowed her to create a protective aura of heat around her and the people she wanted to protect, and provided them with unprecedented flame immunity. Her Ignition Ability is strong enough to withstand attacks from Titanic Infernals. Like Amaterasu, Iris too has blue eyes and blonde hair.
