Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 3 Episode 12 featured the ongoing fight between Subaru Natsuki and Regulus Corneas. After much struggle, the fight concluded with the antagonist losing his life. However, Regulus Corneas is not the first Sin Archbishop to lose his life. Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti suffered the same fate while fighting with Natsuki Subaru and Julius Juukulius.
The Sin Archbishop of Sloth tortured Subaru for a long time, and in the end, his end was also a horrific one. While battling the duo, his body caught fire, and the wheel of a Dragon carriage crushed him. However, Regulus Corneas has joined him in the latest episode as the second dead Sin Archbishop.
Emilia’s Quick Thinking Helped Nullify Regulus Corneas’ Authority
After discussing with Subaru about the potential abilities and weaknesses of Regulus Corneas’ Authority, Emilia went off to the half-destroyed church where the wives of Sin Archbishop of Greed patiently waited. She pleads with everyone to help her to defeat the antagonist. Even though they were indifferent towards her, Emilia changed their minds through persuasion.
They came to know that Regulus had planted a little of his heart with each of his wives, and it needed to be destroyed to weaken the enemy. While the wives were ready to take their lives, Emilia devised a plan and froze them using her magic. It is a near-death state with their hearts not beating. After that, she went to aid Subaru in his battle against Regulus.
She revealed to Subaru about the condition of Little King. Regulus had implanted a little of his heart onto Emilia’s heart, too. As a result, Subaru used Sloth’s Authority, and with the invisible hand, he destroyed the implanted heart, making Emilia free and Regulus vulnerable to physical attacks.
Regulus Corneas Joins The List Of Dead Sin Archbishops
After becoming vulnerable to physical attacks, Emilia launches a barrage of attacks towards him. She continues to hit him until his face gets swollen and starts to bleed. When she stops, Regulus pleads that it is unfair to fight two-on-one. So, Subaru agrees that it is right that a knight should protect his queen. The antagonist thought that Subaru would him.
However, he saw a fireball approaching from the sky. It was Reinhard Van Astrea. He pummelled Regulus, first sending him to the sky and then hitting him hard enough to pierce a nearby fountain. Deep inside the ground, the antagonist lay down, unable to move. Since he pierced a fountain, water started to fill the hole. The Witch Cult’s Sin Archbishop of Greed, Regulus Cornear, died by drowning while holding a grudge against Emilia.
