Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man is filled with Devils. Whenever people start to fear something, a new devil is born. Similarly, these devils tend to bring destruction, but to harness their power for humanity’s benefit, certain individuals form devil contracts with them. In return for gaining a devil’s abilities, contractors must offer something in exchange – often a part of their body or even a piece of their soul.
Apart from individuals, there are certain devils that are under a contract with a country. Countries come under a contract with devils to improve their state, and here are the names of the few countries that are known to have made devil contracts.

1. United States of America
Devil: Gun Devil
The United States of America, rather the President of the United States of America, formed a contract with the Gun Devil to kill Makima (the Control Devil), since Japan would be weakened with her death. In exchange, they offered the devil one year of lifespan from each American citizen.
There was also an additional contract made by the National Pistol Association of America with the Gun Devil. It stated that the Statue of Liberty would be transformed into a grotesque figure, “Gun Goddess,” shooting large bullets. Later, the contract was taken up by the Yoru, the War Devil.
2. Japan
Devil: Control Devil (Makima)
Since Makima was targeted by other nations, the President of Japan formed a contract with the Control Devil, stating that any damage incurred to Makima will be transferred to a Japanese citizen randomly as a disease/injury. It granted the Control Devil with limitless supply of lives.
Devil: Aging Devil
The Japanese Government also tried to form a contract with the Aging Devil in exchange for sacrificing 10000 Japanese children. The contract required the Aging Devil to be devoured by Chainsaw Man, and the concept of aging to be erased from the world. Unfortunately, the contract failed.

3. Soviet Union
Devil: Gun Devil
The Soviet Union has a contract that states that 28% of the Gun Devil’s body will be with them, after its defeat.
Devil: Bomb Devil
The Soviet Union created a super-soldier by placing a portion of the Bomb Devil inside a child, transforming it into a human-devil hybrid. The child is known as Reze.
4. China
Devil: Gun Devil
Similar to the Soviet Union, China’s contract stated that 11% of the Gun Devil’s body would be under their surveillance after it was defeated.
Devil: Fire Devil
The contract with the Fire Devil allowed the Chainsaw Man Church in China to hold wedding ceremonies and transform individuals into pseudo Chainsaw People, with chainsaws coming out of their heads.
5. Germany
- Devil: Multiple
A devil hunter named Santa Claus was hired by Germany to kill Makima. Santa Claus has contracts with multiple devils, like the Darkness Devil, Curse Devil, and the Doll Devil.
There are several other countries in Chainsaw Man that are under a contract with a Devil. The most common devil they made a contract with is the Gun Devil, as 4% of its body is scattered in different countries.
