Updated Article – Lost & Found: Okarun’s 2nd Golden Ball in Dandadan
After Turbo Granny was defeated by Okarun (Ken Takakura) and Momo Ayase in episode 4 of Dandadan, she lost the golden balls during their fight. One of these golden balls was found in Aira Shiratori’s possession, granting her the power to see Acrobatic Silky and the rest is history.
Could the second ball be in the possession of Taro ‘The Anatomical Model,’ explaining how the human model came to life? Or is it with Jiji, Momo Ayase’s childhood friend and First Love? Let’s see how the Golden Ball power works and who might be holding Okarun’s second Golden Ball.
Okarun’s Golden Balls Power
The golden balls, coated in a layer of Turbo Granny’s spiritual energy, are 5 cm in diameter with a shiny, gold appearance. Brimming with life force, they have a powerful allure, drawing high-grade evil spirits and yokai toward them.
Who has the Okarun’s Second Golden Ball? Taro or Jiji?
In episode 11 of Dandadan, during lunch break, Jiji, Momo, and Okarun spot Taro, ‘The Anatomical Model’, running towards them. To Momo’s surprise, a flash of golden light catches her attention, leading her to believe that the ball Taro holds, is one of Okarun’s golden balls. However, by the end of the episode, it remains unclear whether Taro truly has it.
I doubt Taro is the one holding the second golden ball, especially since Hana, another Anatomical Model, has come to life. This raises a new mystery: How did Taro and Hana come to life in the first place?
It’s likely that Jin Enjoji (Jiji), is the one in possession of the second Golden Ball. After all, Aira Shiratori gained the ability to see spirits like Acrobatic Silky upon finding the first Golden Ball. Similarly, Seiko Ayase noted that Jiji recently started seeing ghosts, which could be the result of the second golden ball’s power.
What to Expect in Dan Da Dan Episode 12?
As Seiko Ayase is unable to use her powers outside Kamigoe City, Momo and Okarun are tasked with exorcising the monster residing in Jiji’s house. Dandadan episode 12 titled ‘Let’s Go to the Cursed House‘ is the finale episode of season 1. Will our protagonists be able to exorcise the monster and possibly retrieve the second Golden Ball? or Would it be a cliffhanger for Season 2? Watch Dandadan episode 12 next week to find out!
