With Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution film having been released in the United States, it is only natural that fans again fall in love with the series’ iconic characters. While characters such as Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu will take the center stage for fans, one character who is bound to become a fan-favorite in the upcoming third season of Jujutsu Kaisen is Yuki Tsukumo.

Yuki Tsukumo first appeared in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 during Gojo’s Past Arc and later near the conclusion of the Shibuya Incident Arc. She is one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers and is evidently going to be a key character in the story. So, who is Yuki Tsukumo?

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Yuki Tsukumo is One of Only Four Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers

Yuki Tsukumo is only one of the four special grade jujutsu sorcerers alongside Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Yuta Okkotsu.

Evident from her exchange with Suguru Geto, she knows people from Jujutsu High. Nevertheless, she isn’t aligned with the institution, as she does not agree with the methods undertaken by higher-ups.

According to her, Jujutsu Sorcerers should treat curses by dealing with the root cause rather than the other way around. Thus, instead of undertaking missions from Jujutsu High, she is known for working toward a curse-free world in her own way.

Speaking of, despite not being aligned with Jujutsu High, Yuki Tsukumo acts as a mentor to Aoi Todo, helping him become an elite talent.

Yuki Tsukumo’s Powers and Cursed Technique, Explained

Besides being a master at hand-to-hand combat and possessing immense endurance, Yuki Tsukumo is a great tactician on the battlefield. As seen in her battle against Kenjaku in the manga, she can not only instantly analyze her opponent’s powers but also create countermeasures to take them down.

As for her Cursed Technique, Yuki Tsukumo’s Innate Cursed Technique Star Rage allows her to grant virtual mass to herself and her shikigami Garuda. This added mass allows Yuki to attack her opponents with devastating, destructive force, capable of exorcising a special grade curse effortlessly.

Additionally, Yuki can also use Reverse Cursed Technique and Simple Domain. As fans would know, Jujutsu Sorcerers use the Reverse Cursed Technique to heal themselves and the Simple Domain to resist a Domain Expansion’s Sure-Hit attack. As such, Yuki Tsukumo is a formidable Jujutsu Sorcerer on the battlefield.
