Yuta Okkotsu Powers, Abilities, and Cursed Technique in Jujutsu Kaisen

Yuji Itadori was not the first choice for the main character’s role in Jujutsu Kaisen. It was Yuta Okkotsu who was Gege Akutami’s first choice. Before the Jujutsu Kaisen manga was serialized, the mangaka wrote a one-shot named Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The one-shot became so popular that they decided to make it into a weekly-release manga. The protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen was none other than Yuta Okkotsu.

If looked at them equally, people will see that Yuta is way stronger than Yuji. Yuta’s powers and abilities far exceeded anyone, and it is fair to say, if anyone could go toe-to-toe with Satoru Gojo, it was him. Moreover, he was also a distant relative of the Gojo clan. Yuta Okkotsu’s Powers Make Him An S-Rank Sorcerer

Yuta Okkotsu happens to be one of those individuals who was enrolled by Satoro Gojo at Tokyo Jujutsu High and entrusted with his life. There is a specific reason why Satoru Gojo looked after him personally. When Yuta was a kid, he had a friend named Rika Orimoto. They were pretty close, and as a sign of their friendship, Rika gave him a ring. Soon after, Rika was killed in a car accident. His immense love for Yuta turned her into a powerful cursed spirit.

For years, Yuta was unable to make any friends and kept himself aloof from others since Rika would scare them away. However, with Gojo’s help, Yuta finally learned to embrace Rika as she is and become more potent. Yuta was already a powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer, but with Rika, he was someone who could rival Gojo. Even his classmates were skeptical of him when they first met, but they later learned to trust him. Yuta is always surging with Cursed Energy, showcasing how powerful he is. Even his weapon unleashes a massive amount of Cursed Energy. His abilities are deadly if looked at from an enemy’s perspective.

Yuta Okkotsu’s Abilities Are Like A Cheat Code

Having Rika is itself strong, but that is not enough for Yuta Okkotsu, as he also possesses one of the best innate techniques – Copy. Using the technique, he can copy anyone’s technique upon Rika consuming them. In this manner, Yuta has gained the ability of Toge Inumaki’s Cursed Speech, Kenjaku’s Brain Transplant, Fushiguro’s Shikigami, Takako’s Thin Ice Breaker, etc. Using Kenjaku’s Brain Transplant, he transplanted his brain into Satoru Gojo’s body and was able to use Limitless, Hollow Purple, and Domain Expansion – Infinity Void.

Yuta can also use Reverse Cursed Energy to heal himself of any physical damage. He also uses a katana as his primary weapon, which acts as an extension of him. The S-Rank Sorcerer is also an expert at hand-to-hand combat, making his opponent leave with no choice but to dodge. Yuta can also use his own Domain Expansion called Authentic Mutual Love. In Authentic Mutual Love, hundreds of katana are available around him, tied with a rope as a sign of love. Yuta can choose any of the katana and use a copied technique with a sure-hit effect. Thus, making him one of the strongest sorcerers in the entire series.
