2025 has been a blessing for the anime community, with so many great shows premiering and returning at the same time. With more than half a year left before 2025 wraps, the announcements are already coming in on what the second half of the year holds for the fans. After the Winter anime line-up, fans were treated to the Spring anime 2025 line-up, which will continue till the end of June.
While most fans have had their eyes on certain anime, there are a few Spring releases that went mostly unnoticed. These are some of the best releases of this season and will bring a ton of entertainment for the watchers. Here is a list of 5 anime series from the Spring 2025 line-up that went under the radar.
1. Apocalypse Hotel

Apocalypse Hotel belongs to the post-apocalyptic and supernatural genre, bringing a whole new story about robots and extra-terrestrial beings, with a lot of fun. When an aerial contagion, infortunium pollution, breaks out in the year 2057, humans are pushed to the brink of extinction. With Earth’s air becoming too toxic to breathe, human civilization has shifted to space, abandoning the planet. After a century of infortinium pollution, the only sign of civilization on Earth is the Gingarou Hotel in Ginza, operated by Yachiru, a gynoid concierge. While waiting for humans to return, the hotel got the surprise of a lifetime when their first customer in a century was an extra-terrestrial visitor.
2. Anne Shirley

Anne Shirley is a must-watch anime for people who are fed up with all the typical Shonen anime and want to enjoy a soothing slice-of-life anime. The story follows the life of an 11-year-old girl, Anne Shirley, who is quick to adapt to situations and has a vast imagination but a short temper. She is adopted by middle-aged siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert in Avonlea. The siblings were looking for a boy who could work on their farm, but through a series of mishaps, they ended up with Anne. Anne Shirley explores the journey of the girl and how she adapts to the changes in her environment.
3. Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho

People who love adventure, supernatural beings, and action, with an old generation setting, will find Sword of the Demon Hunter perfect. Sword of the Demon Hunter centers on Jinta, the protector of the shrine maiden Itsukihime from the secluded village of Kadono. While confronting a demon in the forest, he receives a cryptic warning about a dire future. Driven by this, Jinta embarks on a journey across time and space, traveling over 170 years, from the Edo era to the Heisei period, in search of the meaning behind his sword and its purpose.
4. From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman

From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman brings the story of the middle-aged Beryl Gardinant. Beryl is a sword instructor in his dojo, located in a small village. His life turns upside down when he learns that he has been summoned to the capital under the King’s order and has been tasked with becoming a special instructor for the knights of the Liberion Order.
In the past, he has taught several people who rose to great ranks and could handle the situation on their own. But somehow, they still need his tutelage, and it is up to Beryl whether he can live up to everyone’s expectations. The anime is a proper entertainer with great animation and sword fights that will make the viewers glued to their seats.
5. Teogonia

Teogonia is another underrated release from the Spring 2025 line-up that explores the concept of survival and defending weak individuals. This knowledge reveals a cruel truth: without a guardian god, survival is brutally unfair, like living life on hard mode.
