5 Centimeters per Second Live-Action Movieโ€™s Theme Song Revealed

The latest trailer of the 5 Centimeters per Second Live-Action Movie featured Masayoshi Yamazakiโ€™s popular song, โ€œOne More Time, One More Chance.โ€ The song is the official theme of the upcoming movie. โ€œOne More Time, One More Chanceโ€ was released in 1997 and was featured as the ending theme of Makoto Shinkaiโ€™s 5 Centimeters per Second (2007). The song goes like this,

If I give up what little things I have left
Then will my heart find forgiveness
How much pain and sorrow do I have to face
Before I can see you again at last

One more time
Make the seasons stop their endless turning
One more time
Oh, it’s been a while since we were playing

Every time when you and I were bickering
I would let you have your own way in the end
Even when you were wrapped up in yourself
That would only make me care for you even more

One more chance
I’m stumbling in the distant memories
One more chance
I don’t know where it’s I should be going

So, apart from being a great song, it also has a nostalgic touch to it. The artist was overjoyed with the opportunity and expressed his gratitude. He said,

When Director Makoto Shinkai used โ€œOne More Time, One More Chanceโ€ in the 2007 animated film โ€œ5 Centimeters per Second,โ€ I feel like he breathed new life into the song. I am honoured that it will be used as a song in the film again for this live-action adaptation. It makes me happy that the song has been so well-like by everyone. I am also looking forward to Director Okuyamaโ€™s new โ€œ5 Centimeters per Second.โ€
