Sakamoto Days is one of the most popular manga on the top manga reading sites in the world. Yuto Suzukiโ€™s magnum opus saw the worldโ€™s best assassin leave his dark past behind after falling in love. Even though he enjoyed a few years with his family, it was not long before his dark past crawled back to him.

With a bounty on his head, Taro Sakamoto has to save his head while also protecting his family. However, he has friends and well-wishers who can help him down the bumpy road. Sakamoto Days is full of exciting characters, but most often it is the group of protagonists or antagonists who take up the glory. With that, here is a list of five underrated characters in Sakamoto Days who deserve more hype than they received.

1. Natsuki Seba

  • Manga Debut: Chapter 20

Natsuki Sebaโ€™s character has completed a full circle, starting as a major antagonist during the Lab arc but later becoming a good guy and helping the protagonists in their quest to uproot Slur. Like Shin, Natsuki was also successfully experimented on by the Okutabi Lab and later joined as an employee. Apart from working, he was also a student of the JCC.

Natsuki Seba is one of the most interesting characters, as his inventions have often helped Taro Sakamoto and his friends overcome adversaries. While people always praise the protagonists, he deserves the same for his inventions.

2. Boiled

  • Manga Debut: Chapter 9

Boiledโ€™s name might make a lot of fans frown, especially since he gave Taro Sakamoto a hard time during the Amusement Park arc. However, people who read the manga will know that their rivalry is only on the surface. Boiled and Sakamoto knew each other from their time together in JCC.

Later in the story, Boiled helps Shin during the JAA Jail arc and becomes one of the characters whom the heroes can rely upon. He is quite strong and is shown to take down multiple individuals at once. It is not โ€œHard-Boiledโ€ to avoid showing respect to this character without knowing him.

3. Etsuko Satoda

  • Manga Debut: Chapter 80

Etsuko Satoda was a former student of JCC and later became a teacher there. She is one of the strongest assassins in the history of Sakamoto Days, who taught Taro Sakamoto, Rion Akao, and Yoichi Nagumo.

Satoda-sensei is a master of Aikido, a technique used to nullify attacks with the bare minimum effort, and took years to perfect. Every mission that she was a part of was not only a success, but she returned unscathed every time. Even though Etsuko Satoda was only featured during the JCC Infiltration arc, her character is one of the best in the series.

4. Kanaguri

  • Manga Debut: Chapter 59

Kanaguri was introduced as a member of the Order but later revealed that he was an undercover member of Slurโ€™s organization. Even though people have shown hatred towards the character due to his antagonistic antics, it is what makes him such an exciting character.

More than being an assassin, he is concerned about making films and always carries a camcorder to record every battle as it might be featured in his next movie. All of his weapons are things used in a movie set, and he is quite efficient in using them.

5. Aoi Sakamoto

  • Manga Debut: Chapter 1

Aoi Sakamoto is one of the most loved characters in Sakamoto’s Days, but she deserves more love and respect. A simple cashier at a grocery store, managing to win over the greatest assassin ever with just her looks seems like an impossible task.

However, Aoi made it possible and made Taro Sakamoto swear never to murder anyone, since it would make her divorce him. This warning alone was enough to make Sakamoto shift his focus to his family and turn into a chubby father, from a lean and tall assassin. While the situation may have made Sakamoto weak, thanks to her, fans got to see the two sides of the protagonist and how much he cares for those around him.
