On February 16, 2024, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle was released, and the fans experienced a legendary match between Karasuno and Nekoma. After Haikyu season 4 finished airing, the producers announced that the anime would be wrapped up in a couple of movies. After the first movie was released, everyone waited for the announcement of the next movie.
After much waiting, the final chapter of the Haikyu anime has been announced. Toho Animationโs YouTube channel released the teaser of the upcoming movie Haikyu!! Movie โVS The Little Giant.โ It will feature the battle between Karasuno and Kamomedai. Karasuno defeated Nekoma to advance to the quarterfinals, which is the highest they have ever reached.

Karasunoโs Road To Quarterfinals Was A Bumpy One
The Karasuno High Volleyball Team is known as the Crows since โKarasโ in Japanese means crows. Karasuno used to be a powerhouse in the volleyball league, but they never won the National Spring Tournament. Before Hinata Shouyo and Kageyama Tobio joined the team, they managed to reach the Nationals eight times, representing the Miyagi Prefecture.
With Hinata Shouyo and Kageyama Tobio and experienced Second and Third-Year students, Karasuno defeated powerhouses Date Tech and Aoba Johsai to reach the Miyagi Prefectural Spring Qualifiers. They had to face the favorites and the former champions, Shiratorizawa, in the finals. One of the top three aces of Japan, Ushijima Wakatoshi, was the star player of that team.
However, after a hard-fought battle, Karasuno managed to defeat Shiratorizawa and reach the Nationals for the 9th time. In the Nationals, they faced Tsubakihara in the first round and easily defeated them. In the second round, they defeated the tournament favorites Inarizaki, which consisted of star players like the Miya Twins, Ojiro Aran, Shinsuke Kita, etc. In the third round, they defeated their arch-rivals, Nekoma, whom they had never defeated before. Now, their next opponent will be Kamomedia in the Quarterfinals.
Haikyu!! Movie “VS The Little Giant” Will Be A Game Changer For Hinata Shouyo
Haikyu is often regarded as one of the greatest sports anime ever. The teaser of Haikyu!! Movie “VS The Little Giant” will feature Karasuni vs. Kamomedai. More than the teams, it will be a battle between Hinata Shouyo and Korai Hoshiumi. The latter is a star player and got called up for the All-Japan Youth Intensive Training Camp, even though he is one of the shortest players around.
On the other hand, Hinata Shouyo fell in love with volleyball after watching the original โLittle Giantโ play for Karasuno. Both of them are at a disadvantage due to their heights, but they often overshadow others when they step onto the pitch. The first time Hoshiumi laid eyes on Hinata, he started to consider him as a competitor.
The upcoming movie will be one of the best sporting events in the anime world, with the tension riding high on both sides. However, the pressure will be on Karasuno since they have to play Kamomedai on the same day as Nekoma. Stamina and mental fortitude will play a major role in the upcoming match. Hinata Shouyo will finally get the feeling of what the Nationals is all about.

The Presence Of The โLittle Giantโ
Throughout Haikyu, Hinata Shouyo and Korai Hoshiumi have often been termed the โLittle Giant,โ but there was a different individual for whom the term was coined. The โLittle Giantโ term was first used to identify Karasunoโs Tenma Udai. When he was on the team, Karasuno reached the quarterfinals of the Nationals for the first time. Haikyu Movie “VS The Little Giant” will feature Tenma Udai for the first time in the anime, with the original โLittle Giantโ coming to cheer for Karasuno and experience who becomes the modern-day โLittle Giantโ between Hinata Shouyo and Korai Hoshiumi.
โHaikyu!! Where The Monsters Goโ Teaser Also Released
Apart from Haikyu Movie “VS The Little Giant,” Toho Animation also released the teaser of โHaikyu!! Where The Monsters Go.โ It will feature the match between Fukurodani and Mujinazaka. The star players of both teams are Kotaro Bokuto and Wakatsu Kiryu, respectively. The former is one of the top five aces in the country, while the latter is one of the top three aces in Japan. However, the match will not be featured in a movie. Instead, it will be broadcast on TV as a short anime.
