Every Kizaru Fight in One Piece Ranked by Impact

For a long time, the One Piece fandom was pretty nervously excited about Borsalino (Admiral Kizaru) whenever he appeared and because of what he did to the Straw Hat Pirates at Sabaody Archipelago. It established him as one of the One Piece’s strongest and fearsome opponents. Being an Admiral, Kizaru was involved in multiple battles, and he ended up victorious in most of them. Since the beginning of the series, Kizaru was always at his peak, so for him, post-time skip and pre-time skip did not matter. But post-time skip saw him engage in more ferocious battles.

Here is a list of all the fights that the Yellow Pheasant of the Marines has in One Piece.

One Piece Pre-Timeskip

1) Kizaru vs. Basil Hawkins, X Drake, Scratchmen Apoo, and Urouge

• Episode – 402
• Chapter – 509
• Place of Occurrence – Sabaody Archipelago

During the Sabaody Archipelago arc, all of the Supernovas of the Worst Generation pirates were present on the island. Basil Hawkins and Urouge were the first Pirates out of the Worst Generation to experience Kizaru’s wrath. Hawkins predicted that he would live through the day, and even though he did not fail to predict, he questioned his prediction when he faced Kizaru. For Kizaru, defeating Basil Hawkins was a piece of cake, and he defeated Basil Hawkins with ease, but when he was about to kill him, Scratchmen Apoo interfered alongside X Drake. While the Supernovas were strong, Kizaru managed to defeat all four and went to capture Luffy, Kid, and Law.

2) Kizaru vs. the Straw Hat Pirates

• Place of Occurrence – Sabaody Archipelago

Kizaru vs. the Straw Hat Pirates traumatized the entire fandom for several years. While the Straw Hat Pirates were strong, they were no match for the Admiral. He defeated all of them on a whim and broke down Luffy emotionally. He was about to kill Roronoa Zoro, but Dark King Silvers Rayleigh saved them, and Bartholomew Kuma sent them to different locations using his Paw Paw Fruit.

3) Kizaru vs. Dark King Silvers Rayleigh

• Chapter – 511
• Place of Occurrence – Sabaody Archipelago

Kizaru vs. Silvers Rayleigh is the first fight of the Admiral in the series, where he was shown to put in an effort. Even though Gol D. Roger’s right-hand man was way past his prime, he still halted Kizaru in his tracks. It could have been an interesting fight, but it ended in a no-contest, thanks to Bartholomew Kuma.

4) Kizaru vs. Marco the Phoenix

• Episode – 463
• Chapter – 554
• Place of Occurrence – Sabaody Archipelago

During the Marineford War, Kizaru was tasked with facing Marco the Phoenix, the first commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Marco was pretty strong and stalked Kizaru for a long time and even made him take a few steps back. Thanks to his mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, he can heal up immediately, making Kizaru’s attack useless. However, this battle also ended in no contest since the War was put to an end by Red-Hair Shanks after Portgas D. Ace and Whitebeard’s death.

One Piece Post-Timeskip

1) Kizaru vs. Sentomaru

• Episode – 1124
• Chapter – 1091
• Place of Occurrence – Egghead Island

The Egghead arc highlighted several great fights, and Kizaru vs. Sentomaru was one of them. Apart from having all the animation flairs, the fight also had an emotional touch to it. Even though they were not blood relatives, Kizaru and Sentomaru shared an uncle-nephew relationship. So, for either one, it was a heavy choice to fight each other. Sentomaru’s defense is considered to be one of the best, but Kizaru proved to be too powerful for him. While Sentomaru did manage to land a few hits, it was not enough in front of Kizaru’s Pika Pika no Mi. With a final point-blank-range attack, Kizaru defeated Sentomaru, sending him crashing into the ground.

2) Kizaru vs. Monkey D. Luffy

• Episode – 1125
• Chapter – 1093
• Place of Occurrence – Egghead Island

Kizaru vs. Monkey D. Luffy was one of the most awaited fights in One Piece. After humiliating the Hito Hito no Mi, Model – Nika, user during the Sabaody Archipelago arc, the Straw Hats were eagerly counting the days when they would get their revenge. One Piece episode 1125 saw Luffy finally getting that chance. The upcoming episode will feature the fight to its entirety.

One Piece Movies

1) Kizaru vs. Zephyr

• Movie – One Piece Film: Z
• Place of Occurrence – Firs Island

Zephyr is a former Marine and when he tried to steal the Dyna Stones from the Firs Island, Kizaru confronted him. The two ended up having a deadly battle and exchanged multiple blows. Kizaru addressed him as master. The battle abruptly came to an end when Zephyr used one of the Dyna Stones to blast Kizaru away, but fortunately he survived because of his Pika Pika no Mi.

2) Kizaru vs. Red-Hair Shanks

• Movie – One Piece Film: Red
• Place of Occurrence – Elegia

Kizaru faced Red-Hair Shanks, but it turned out to be a short fight, since the former was forced to surrender due to Shanks’ immense strength. With the Marines ordered to eradicate Uta, Kizaru was about to do it, but Shanks quickly charged towards him, and even Kizaru’s Pika Pika no Mi was not fast enough to overcome Shanks. The fight ended with Shanks putting his sword near Kizaru’s neck.

Other Fights Of Kizaru

Kizaru was involved in several other battles but most of them were one-shot or happened in the same timeframe like the Marineford War. He defeated Arlong in a single shot in episode 544. During the Marineford War, he exchanged blows with several member of Whitebeard’s crew, including Edward Newgate himself. He also faced Rakuyo, Namur, Kingdew, Izou, Fossa, and Speed Jiru.
