The manga world is booming, with multiple releases taking place simultaneously, with some of the popular ones even getting an anime adaptation, like Gachiakuta. The anime and manga industry going mainstream has helped several manga artists showcase their abilities to the world. However, even after such popularity, there are still a few manga that remain underrated. They have great plots with equally compelling characters, but have yet to receive the spotlight. Some of them have been around for quite some time but failed to reach the pinnacle of popularity. Here is the list of five underrated manga that are worth giving a try, just like Gachiakuta.

Underrated Manga Like Gachiakuta - Choujin X

Choujin X follows the story of Tokio Kurohara and Azuma Higashi. The former is lazy and not good at anything, while the latter is a great student with excellent fighting skills. When fights break out, Azuma is the one battling the enemies, while Tokio stands on the sidelines. While their personalities differ, they are best friends. Even though they love to get involved in brawls, they always try to avoid facing off against the supernatural beings known as Choujin.

However, when one of their enemies came back to get revenge, they had to choose to inject themselves with the Choujin drug. While the duo wants to stay quiet about their doings, a few people are supposedly angry and are not willing to stay quiet. Choujin X was written by Sui Ishida, who is famous for creating Tokyo Ghoul. However, life was never easy for Julian, as he had to witness the captain of the ship slaughter all the slaves on the ship.

When the number reached 100, it accidentally summoned a sea entity, who granted Julian all 100 lives and their combined strength. With more strength than an average human, Julian sets out on a new journey with Miraโ€™s daughter, Diana, all while being indebted to the 100 souls.
