The Malediction in Kagurabachi has taken multiple lives, but by hiding that grim fact, the Enchanted Blade users became heroes to the outside world. People identified them as the ones who ended the Seitei War. But thanks to Yura and the Hishaku, many people came to realize what had happened during the Seitei War and how it was framed to cover up the evil deeds of the so-called “War Heroes.”
One of those “War Heroes” is Seiichi Samura, who wields the Enchanted Blade Tobimune. However, after coming in contact with Yura, he learned that while the War ended, there was still a chance for Malediction to happen again since the Sword Master was still alive. So, set out on a path to kill the Enchanted Blade users to turn the chances of another Malediction occurring to zero. Even though there was a motive for Seiichi Samura to turn on the Sword Bearers, Kagurabachi Chapter 82 showcased another perspective on Samura’s case.
Seiichi Samura Has Found A Way To Stop The Malediction From Re-Happening
Seiichi Samura has always been calm and composed and is one of the most rational individuals in Kagurabachi. The last chapter featured Yoji Uruha, who was believed to have died at the hands of Samura. However, Yoji reveals Samura’s true intentions, and it only shows how great a personality he is. Knowing that the Malediction could happen in the future, the Sword Bearer has vowed to kill all the other Sword Bearers to stop it from ever happening. The Sword Bearers are bound by Eternal Contracts and the contract can only be severed once the user dies. As long as the contract is alive, especially with the Master Swordsman and Magatsumi, the possibility of Malediction is very much alive.
Is Seiichi Samura Really Going To Kill Sword Bearers?
Yoji Uruha revealed that Seiichi Samura intends to kill all the Sword Bearers, but there is a twist to it. The latter’s blade, Tobimune, is known to possess healing abilities like a phoenix, and the technique is known as Suzaku. Previously, when he fought Yoji Uruha, he killed him, but in the latest chapter, it was revealed that using Suzaku, Samura implanted the flames of mercy into Uruha’s body. After the latter’s death, the technique would activate, bringing the dead person back to life, just like a phoenix.
The beauty of the technique is that upon killing the Sword Bearer, the Eternal Contract gets broken, and after getting revived, the person becomes free. It was because of this technique that Hiruhiko was able to use Kumeyuri, which originally belonged to Yoji. While it is true that Seiichi Samura is going to kill all the Sword Bearers, he is also going to revive them. For the past 18 years, he has been secretly honing this technique so that he can finally do something for the greater good.
Seiichi Samura Could Become The Greatest Hero In Kagurabachi
Seiichi Samura has been secretly training for the past 18 years to free the world from another Seitei War. He has been shouldering a massive burden, and only Yoji Uruha seemed to know about it. Kagurabachi Chapter 82 revealed that while there may be hope left with the Malediction not happening again, it would be at the cost of Seiichi Samura’s life. The Sword Bearer is able to kill other Sword Bearers and bring them back to life, but he cannot do the same for himself.
For the regeneration to work, he needs to be alive, but if he kills himself, there is no way to revive him since the creator of the technique is dead. While Samura has made everyone believe that he has switched sides, he will most likely become the greatest hero in Kagurabachi. It feels like Itachi Uchiha is still alive!
Will Malediction Truly Be Avoided?
Seiichi Samura’s sacrifice could be an answer to avoiding the Malediction, but it does not guarantee that the Malediction would never ever happen. Kagurabachi has shown that the Enchanted Blades can come under contract with other swordsmen after their users die. It happened with Kumeyuri and Hiruhiko, and there is also Chihiro Rokuhira, who also possesses an Enchanted Blade, even though it is a new one. As long as there is an Enchanted Blade, there is a chance of Malediction. While Hiruhiko and Chihiro may not be as talented as the Seitei War heroes, with time, they could hone their talents, create a stronger bond with the Enchanted Blades, and cause Malediction. It is a possibility.
