Kagurabachi Chapter 85, titled “Open,” has been released and features something special that the fans have been waiting for a long time. The last few chapters solely focused on Chihiro Rokuhira vs. Seiichi Samura, with the former trying to help the latter, who is on a suicidal path to prevent the Malediction from happening again.
Kagurabachi Chapter 84 saw the protagonist putting his everything into a single slash and making a crack on Tobimune. However, the latest chapter revealed that it was not enough to stop Seiichi Samura. Instead, the two Enchanted Blade users continued their battle. However, the chapter concluded with a surprise – Seiichi Samura finally healed his eyes using Suzaku.
After Suzaku, Chihiro Mimics Tobimune’s Crow
Kagurabachi Chapter 85 began with the two Enchanted Blade users continuing their battle, even though Chihiro proves Seiichi Samura wrong by cracking Tobimune. With both determined to end the fight, they engulfed the area with their Kuro and Suzaku, respectively. While everything was pitch black, Chihiro and Seiichi could sense things due to their spirit energy. As the two clashed, the latter was proving to be a menace to the protagonist.
After a while, Chihiro lay on the ground, wounded and thinking it was the end, Seiichi suggested that he live his life freely from then on. However, Chihiro teleported behind Seiichi using Crow, which is a technique of Tobimune. As revealed in Kagurabachi Chapter 84, the Enten is specifically made to prevent the Malediction, and its ability to copy other Enchanted Blades might play a major role in it. This is not the first time he copied an exclusive technique. Previously, he mimicked the Iai White Purity technique, then Suzaku, and now Crow.
Suzaku Finally Healed Seiichi Samura’s Eyes
While fighting with Chihiro, Seiichi was approached by his daughter, Iori Samura. Even though she called out to her father, he was busy fighting Chihiro. A flashback highlighted Seiichi standing in front of Iori’s room and hearing her crying inside, but he did not open the door and console her. However, in between the fighting, the two Enchanted Blade users were constantly conversing. Chihiro’s speech was riling Seiichi’s emotions, who imagined his wife standing in front of him.
She told him not to forget the past, as she was also from his past, and to look after their daughter. Then the panel shifted to the same flashback, but this time, Tobimune’s wielder opened the door and consoled her daughter. The last panel of the chapter featured Seiichi Samura opening his eyes and seeing Iori in front of him. He said, “You’ve really… grown up,” and is now ready to see what the future has in store for him.
