Blue Lock Episode 2 deterred the second installment of the anime from entering into Fall 2024’s best. Although the show had a promising start with a great narrative and promising animation, fans noticed a noticeable change with the latter. The animation suffered a lack of quality, leaving fanatics disappointed.
Studio 8bit Drops The Ball On Blue Lock Episode 2 Animation
Similar to Junji Ito’s Uzumaki, which had a bad 2nd episode, Blue Lock fell victim to it. Studio 8bit made an error with its recent installment. The first season of the Kaneshiro Muneyuki and Nomura Yuusuke’s show displayed promising animation and was a contender for Fall 2022’s best shows of the year.
However, fans criticized Blue Lock Episode 2 for its lack of promising animation. A lot of the characters’ still motions were compared to PowerPoint presentations. Transitions between scenes followed suit as it was also berated for its lack of ingenious presence compared to its prequel.
Blue Lock Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
As opposed to the Blue Lock Episode 2, the previous episode was held to a higher standard. Yoichi Isagi’s journey following the prequel is what fans anticipated with the weekly airing adaptation of the manga.
Rin Itoshi’s flashback kickstarted the first episode. His brother mocks his soccer skills. The mockery visibly traumatizes Rin and makes him question his sports abilities. The first few minutes look hopeful with Jinpachi Ego’s confidence in Blue Lock’s capability to defeat the U-20.
Isagi is not sure which team he wants to play for. He appears to be insecure and discusses the matter with his companions. Animosity builds with the Top 6 as Rin and Shidou throw hands, which is quickly separated by Ego. Knowing it would be a tough challenge, Isagi ultimately decides to compete alongside Rin.
