AnimeJapan has always been a major highlight for anime enthusiasts. In 2025, the event was scheduled for March 22 and 23. With the first day of AnimeJapan 2025 now wrapped up, fans were treated to a wave of exciting announcements about their favorite anime. The event was divided into four stages – RED, BLUE, GREEN, and WHITE. Here is the list of major announcements and highlights that happened on the first day of AnimeJapan 2025.
RED Stage
1. Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus

- Release: July 2025
AnimeJapan 2025 saw Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus release a new trailer before the anime’s premiere. Kaito Ishikawa, Sora Amamiya, Asami Seto, Aya Yamane, Reina Ueda, Konomi Kohara, and Manaka Iwami were present during the stage event. Apart from the trailer, it was revealed that Manaka Iwami and Konomi Kohara joined the team as voice actors, and Conton Candy was tasked with the Opening Theme.
2. Demon Slayer

- Release Date: TBA
A trailer featuring Genya Shinazugawa was released for the Demon Slayer franchise’s upcoming video game, Hinokami Chronicles 2. The announcement was made by the main cast of the anime – Natsuki Hanae, Hiro Shimono, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Reina Ueda, and Nobuhiko Okamoto.
3. Kaiju No. 8

- Release: July 2025
A new trailer was released for Kaiju No. 8 season 2, which featured the 1st Division Commander, Gen Narumi. Apart from the trailer, two new visuals of Gen Narumi was also revealed.
4. Oshi no Ko

The event saw the release of a trailer for Oshi No Ko season 3 featuring Aqua and Ruby Hoshino in front of the main cast of the anime, which included Yurie Igoma, Takeo Otsuka, Megumi Han, Manaka Iwami, and Rumi Okubo. To commemorate Oshi no Ko’s YouTube channel reaching a million subscribers, an Ai Hoshino mascot came out holding the Golden Play Button.
5. My Hero Academia Final Season Plus Ultra Stage

Daiki Yamashita, Kenta Miyake, Koki Uchiyama, Hiroshi Kamiya, and Akio Otsuka attended the special stage event where the first trailer of My Hero Academia Final Season was released, along with the key art.
6. Rurouni Kenshin

With Soma Saito, Rie Takahashi, Taku Yashiro, Yuma Uchida, Hino Satoshi, and Makoto Furukawa at the center stage, Rurouni Kenshin announced season 3 and released a special trailer.
7. One Piece

AnimeJapan 2025 saw One Piece announcing the Opening Theme and Ending Theme of Egghead Part 2. The Opening Theme and the Ending Theme were performed by GRe4N BOYZ and Muque, respectively. With a recap of Egghead and Episode 1123, One Piece will return on April 5, 2025, with Episode 1124 releasing on April 6, 2025. A special collaboration with the German Football Club, Borussia Dortmund, was announced, and voice actors Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, Kappei Yamaguchi, and Subaru Kimura did a skit on stage. A spinoff, Koisuru One Piece, will stream from April 1-5, 2025.
GREEN Stage
1. BLUE LOCK

Additional information about BLUE LOCK’s Egoist Exhibition – The Animation – event was announced. Kazuki Ura, Tasuku Kaito, Koki Uchiyama, and Takahiro Sakurai graced the stage with their presence.
2. The Summer Hikaru Died

- Release Date: TBA
The Summer Hikaru Died released a trailer and announced three additional voice actors of the anime – Yumiri Hanamori, Wakana Kowaka, and Chikahiro Kobayashi. The Ending Theme, “Anata wa Kaibutsu,” was performed by TOOBOE. Later, the three voice actors joined Shuichiro Umeda and Chiaki Kobayashi at the event.
3. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

The cast of the anime – Shuichiro Umeda, Ikumi Hasegawa, and Yasuhiro Mamiya, were present during the event. The event was hosted by Junichi Suwabe, with Band Yutori playing the Ending Theme “Speed!” Also, a new illustration of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga was released by the creator.
4. Blue Box

Shoya Chiba, Reina Ueda, Akari Kito, Chiaki Kobayashi, and Kana Ichinose attended the special stage Blue Box event.
5. Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation

Yohei Azakami will join the cast of Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation as Enman Yuuken. The event also saw the release of its first teaser trailer.
6. Sakamoto Days

Tomokazu Sugita, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Natsuki Hanae, and Ayane Sakura took the stage during the Sakamoto Days event and commented on the special ending video about The Order. Key visual of Sakamoto Days Season 1 Part 2, which is scheduled to be released in July 2025, was released. Also, Gaku will be played by Koki Uchiyama.
BLUE Stage
1. Netflix Stage

The Netflix Stage saw the presence of Yu Kobayashi Chiaki Kobayashi, and Chikahiro Kobayashi on the stage, along with the announcement of Fire Force Season 3 premiering on April 5, 2025, and it also featured a trailer that included all of their anime releases in 2025 like Sakamoto Days, Beastars, My Melody and Kuromi, etc.
2. New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

With a premiere date of July 2025, New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt revealed a new trailer featuring Junya Enoki’s Polyester and Yuto Uemura’s Polyurethane. The event was presented by Arisa Ogasawara, Mariya Ise, Hiroyuki Yoshino, and Hiromi Wakabayashi, with Junya Enoki and Yuto Uemura joining them later.
3. Kowloon Generic Romance

A complete adaptation of the Kowloon Generic Romance anime has been confirmed. The anime will have 13 episodes, with the preview images of episode 1 released during the event.
WHITE Stage
1. Tokyo Revengers

Voice actors of Tokyo Revengers, Yuki Shin, Yu Hayashi, Masaya Fukunishi, and Sho Karino revealed The Battle of Three Deities sequel anime’s new visual teaser.

Along with the introduction of three additional cast members of Maebashi Witches, their character designs were also revealed during the event. The three additional cast members are Yu Serizawa, Nao Toyama, and Akari Kito.

With Makoto Koichi, Manaka Iwami, and Minami Tsuda taking the stage, I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince revealed a new trailer for season 2.

1. Moonrise

Tow Ubukata’s Moonrise released a new trailer, along with key visuals. Apart from the trailer, 13 new voice actors were also announced for Wit Studio’s upcoming project, which will be available to stream on Netflix.
2. Sorairo Utility

Original anime short, based on golf, Sorairo Utility’s event saw the main cast of the show, Miyu Takagi, Ayasa Goto, and Yurina Amami, take up the stage in their respective characters’ outfits. They played games like darts at the “Pony Canyon Bar.”
3. Lycoris Recoil

Lycoris Recoil: Friends are Thieves of Time main cast Chika Anzai and Shion Wakayama announced that the short series will premiere every Wednesday at 9 PM JST. During the event, six key visuals were released for every episode. Shingo Adachi will direct the first part of the series titled “Take it Easy.”

Like Sorairo Utility’s event, Turkey! Event too, happened at the Pony Canyon Booth, with the main cast playing a game of darts. The main cast of the anime – Hana Hishikawa, Kana Ichinose, Ayasa Ito, and Yuki Tenma, were present during the event and shared their insights regarding the characters they play and the key visuals.
5. Clevatess
