The anime adaptation of Kouji Miura’s sports rom-com manga ‘Blue Box’ announced the release date, main trailer, streaming platform, theme song artists and a key visual on their official website today.
Blue Box Anime Release Date, Time, and Streaming Platform
The TV anime series produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by Telecom Animation Film will start airing on October 3, 2024, at 11:56 pm in Japan on TMS and 28 other affiliate networks. Netflix will stream the anime series on October 4 (the release date may vary by country). The first 2 episodes will be streaming on Netflix on the release date, followed by weekly episode releases.

The main trailer features the opening theme song ‘Same Blue‘ by Official HIGE DANDISM and Eve’s ending theme song ‘Teenage Blue‘.
Apart from the main trailer, release date, and theme song announcement, a new key visual has also been released.

Blue Box is a sports rom-com manga by Kouji Miura. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on Apr 12, 2021. A one-shot version of the manga was published in WSJ on Aug 3, 2020.
Blue Box follows the story of Taiki Inomata, a badminton player at Eimei Junior and Senior High boys team. Having joined the boys’ badminton team, he practices hard every day and aims to get to the Nationals. Every morning he wants to be the first to reach the gymnasium to start practicing but Chinatsu Kano always beats him. Chinatsu is on the girls’ basketball team and Taiki’s crush. One day, Chinatsu moves into Taiki’s house as her parents move abroad for work. Now, living under the same roof, Taiki slowly develops his relationship with Chinatsu as both encourage each other to work hard and win the National Championship.
