The massively popular Bocchi the Rock! stage play is returning for not one, but two sequel runs. Tokyo’s rock theater scene is about to be hit by a serious case of double vision.
The musically charged manga adaptation that premiered last August brings its sold-out live concerts back to THEATER MILANO-Za from September 7-23,2024 with PART I STARRY and PART II Shuka-sai (Shuka Festival).
An Ovation Worthy of Encores
The production is reassembling the same talented crew that made the original such a hit too. It includes lead performers Mamo Mamono as the eponymous shy rocker Hitori Gotoh and Miki Otake as her bold bestie Nijika Ichiji.
With both actors reprising their roles alongside the full band for an extended engagement, attendees can expect the same pitch-perfect singing. Shredding, and adolescent angst that earned the first show rave reviews from anime-musical diehards.

Of course, getting into this double-feature rock opera won’t be easy. Tickets are the hottest commodity in Tokyo’s theater scene right now.
The fastest pre-sale kicks off via a special Blu-ray/DVD lottery. With conventional pre-sales opening up in waves throughout June and July. By the time general admission starts on August 10th, these two encores are practically guaranteed to be the toughest get in town.
Then again, when an electrifying rock drama like Bocchi comes back for a victory lap(s), superfans know the struggle is well worth the price of admission. Consider our lighters at the ready.
