Rahul Purini (President of Crunchyroll) announced the manga app during Sony’s CES 2025 press conference on January 6, 2025, at 5 p.m. PST.

Let’s cut right to the chase – YES! Not only will you be able to read manga on Crunchyroll, but you’re getting a whole new standalone app to do it in style! And the best part? It’s coming to the US and Canada first, bundled as a sweet premium add-on to your existing Crunchyroll subscription.
