Creepy Nuts is having the best run of its musical journey, having won multiple awards at the Music Awards Japan. In 2024, they created two of the most popular anime theme songs with Mashle: Magic and Muscles’ “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” becoming a global hit. People around the world were humming it and performing the dance steps.
Later in 2024, the Japanese hip-hop band dropped Otonoke, the Opening Theme of Dandadan. Rather than enjoying their success, Creepy Nuts are working hard to be at the top. With Creepy Nuts already at the peak of success, they dropped another banger, “Mirage,” which is the Opening Theme of Call of the Night Season 2.
Another Anime Opening Theme For The Creepy Nuts
After attaining global recognition with Mashle: Magic and Muscles and Dandadan, Creepy Nuts is back with another anime Opening Theme Song called “Mirage.” Mirage is the Opening Theme of Call of the Night Season 2. The anime released a 26-second video featuring the song, and it looks like the band is on its way to another global success. While Mirage seems to be different from “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” and “Otonoke,” it still carries the signature weirdness of the musical duo. Nonetheless, the song goes well with the anime’s theme. Creepy Nuts also released a statement regarding their latest work. They said,
Season 1 depicts the night’s dry kindness and its role as a refuge for those who are saved there.
In contrast, Season 2 depicts the night’s damp side and its role as a place to dump lingering attachments and regrets.
It also depicts the adults struggling to come to terms with it.
As someone who has been staying up all night for 20 years, I just can’t help but

This song depicts the sordid relationship between myself and the night.
What Is The Plot Of Call Of The Night?
Ko Yamori is a school student who has yet to experience true satisfaction and, as a result, suffers from insomnia. To pass his time, he starts to wander the night street. During one such adventure, he encounters a vampire girl, Nazuna Nanakusa. Nazuna becomes his partner and helps him discover the joy of being a night-walker. Ko starts desiring to become a vampire because of how much he enjoys being a nightwalker. However, to make his dream come true, Ko Yamori must fall in love with Nazuna Nanakusa.
Creepy Nuts rise to the top in 2025
2025 has been the most successful stint for Creepy Nuts as they won nine awards at the Music Awards Japan 2025, including Best Viral Song and Top Japanese Song in Europe. Apart from that, Creepy Nuts’ “Otonoke” won the Best Anime Song at the 2025 Crunchyroll Awards.
The hip-hop band released a new album named Legion, which includes the Opening Theme from Mashle: Magic and Muscles and Dandadan. DJ Matsunaga and R-Shitei founded the band in 2013, and it took them almost 12 years to reach the peak. Last year, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” topped the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and Oricon Combined Singles Chart. Creepy Nuts will look to achieve the same thing in 2025, also with LEGION and their latest singles, Mirage.
