Dandadan has gained a massive fan following since its inception in the summer of 2021, and after the anime, the popularity graph has been on a constant rise. The anime was critically acclaimed for the plot, characters, and Science SARU’s animation brilliance. With everything going great for the franchise, the latest announcement revealed that Dandadan has reached yet another milestone.
Recently it was revealed that Yukinobu Tatsu’s magnum opus has sold over 10 million copies, and they had done it in just 18 Volumes. The announcement does not end there since the franchise has released a Promotional Video to commemorate their massive success. The video included several information like the awards won by the franchise, the season 2 announcement, etc.
Dandadan Launches A New Website
The Dandadan fandom is jumping with joy as their favourite manga reaches the magical mark of 10 million in manga sales. Moreover, it has also been announced that the much-awaited 19th volume of the manga will be released on Friday, April 4, 2025. Dandadan has also launched a new website to commemorate the release of Volume 19.
Dandadan Volume 19 Details
Dandadan Volume 19 is the latest volume of the manga and will contain 210 pages. Even though the chapter numbers are yet to be revealed, it is speculated that the volume will cover the next 10 chapters after Volume 18. Dandadan Volume 18 covered chapters 148 to 156, which featured the Danmanra Arc. The arc will be continued in the upcoming Volume.
Dandadan Award Streak Continues Across Various Platforms
Dandadan anime was nominated for the 2024 Abema Anime Trends Award in two categories – Japan Anime Trend Award and Opening Animation Award, and managed to win both. During the 2025 Reiwa Anisong Awards, it was nominated for the Best Work Award. Teen Vogue awarded them the Best TV Show of 2024, and they also won several awards during the /r/anime awards. Dandadan won multiple awards from Anime Trending and Anime Corner, including Best Anime of the Season and Best Favorite Couple or Ship.
Dandadan Season 2 Will Return In July 2025
Dandadan season 1 concluded on December 20, 2024, and the very next day it was announced that the anime would return with the second season in July 2025. The special Promotional Video about Dandadan manga crossing 10 million sales also included information about its upcoming release. While the anime’s exact release date is yet to be announced, the Promotional Video revealed that Dandadan Season 2 will broadcast in the Super Animeism TURBO slot.
