Dandadan by Tatsu Yukinobu is going on a 1-month hiatus starting from August. The series is scheduled to resume with Chapter 164 on September 3rd at Shonen Jump+ App. The latest Chapter 163 of Dandadan was released on Tuesday, concluding its latest arc.
Dandadan is an original manga series by Yukinobu Tatsu (Story & Art), serialized in Shueishaโs Shonen Jump+ since April 6, 2021. Till now, the chapters have been collected into 15 tankobon volumes.
An anime adaptation by studio Science Saru is set to release in October 2024. The anime adaptation will be directed by Fuuga Yamashiro and written by Hiroshi Seko. The theme song by Creepy Nuts will be featured in the anime adaptation. The series will be available to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
DANDADAN Manga Plot
Momo Ayase is a high school student who believes in ghosts but not aliens. She saves Ken Takakura, who unlike her believes in aliens but not ghosts, from being bullied. To prove who is right, they both decide to visit locations based on occult and supernatural occurrences. Turned out both of them were correct, Ayase gains psychic abilities after an encounter with aliens while Takakura gets possessed by a spirit. With these new powers, they fight aliens and spirits, try to cure Takakura’s curse and develop affection for each other through their journey.
