The announcement of Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter X Hunter manga return was made by Shueisha via Jump Press Livestream on its Shonen Jump YouTube channel. The HxH manga returns in the 45th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump this year on October 7. This will be the first publication of HxH in Weekly Shonen Jump in about a year and nine months. A glimpse of the cover for Hunter X Hunter Volume 38 was revealed in the live event.
The Hunter X Hunter manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi has been serialized since March 3, 1998, in the Weekly Shounen Jump. The story has been compiled into 37 tankobon volumes as of November 2022.
Hunter x Hunter Manga Return
The manga has been under hiatus since January 2023 due to Yoshihiro Togashi’s health problems. Upon consultation with the author of the series, Shueisha decided to pause the weekly serialization of the manga.
Togashi has been keeping the manga readers updated on the upcoming chapters through his constant posts on X (Formerly Twitter), and Shueisha will be releasing the 38th volume of the manga on September 4th.
In March 2023, Togashi claimed that chapter 401 of the manga was complete, not revealing any information regarding the serialization. In May, Togashi posted an image featuring a ruler and part of a page labeled number 405 on his official X account.
Hunter X Hunter Nen x Impact
Hunter X Hunter is also set to receive a 2D 3v3 fighting game this year based on the series and is titled Hunter X Hunter Nen x Impact. Bushiroad Games and Eighting, developers of the game will release it on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC(Steam). The audio quality has also been advanced to 5.1 surround sound for a theatrical experience.
