To Be Hero X is one of the most popular ongoing anime of Spring 2025. It is not a Japanese anime but a Chinese anime, popularly known as Donghua. The story is written by Lin Haoling, the creator of Link Click, and jointly produced by Aniplex, Bilibili, and BeDream.
The anime is the third installment of the franchise after To Be Hero and To Be Heroine. It is neither a prequel nor a sequel but takes place at the same time. After experiencing such a great plot, many fans do not want to wait longer and want to read the manga to know what happens in the future. They have been asking where to read the manga and how many story arcs it has. Unfortunately, they will be disappointed when they find out the truth.
To Be Hero X Does Not Have A Manga
Lin Haolingโs To Be Hero X does not have a manga or light novel, with the anime being the first representation of the story. There are tons of examples of when anime came first, with the manga and light novel coming later. To Be Hero X might also adopt something similar in the future, but nothing has been specified as of now. Currently, the franchise is busy showcasing Lin Ling and Niceโs story about how their lives got intertwined.

Is There A List Of Arcs In To Be Hero X?
To Be Hero X does not have a manga, and likewise, there is no record of it having different arcs along the story. However, it has been revealed that the anime will have 24 episodes and will run till September 14, 2025, exploring the lives of the top ten heroes. Following that logic, all ten characters will have their story arcs featured in the anime. To Be Hero X episode 4 concluded Niceโs story, which happened to be the 10th Hero, with Lin Ling taking up his place after he committed suicide.

Next, the anime will feature E-Soulโs story, which is the 9th Hero. Even though the narratives are different, they will converge at the same point where they will try to become Hero X. A Battle-Royale takes place with the top 10 heroes, and the individual who wins the tournament becomes Hero X. The current Hero X has already defended his title twice, and the fans speculate that the last arc will feature the Battle-Royale where all the stories converge. To Be Hero X does not have a specific protagonist or a proper list of arcs, but everything is done to attain a single goal.
