The 28th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed that both Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen and Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga will be on a two-week break and will return in the 31st issue on the 1st of July.
WSJ’s Twitter post also mentions the One Piece manga break this week and the new chapter 1117 will be out on June 17th.
Reason for Jujutsu Kaisen and MHA two-week break
Gege Akutami commented in the WSJ 28th issue that he was suffering from bad health and a “strange condition”. In contrast, Shueisha did not give any reason for the My Hero Academia manga break.
This news follows the announcement that My Hero Academia entered its epilogue last week, but the author Kohei Horikoshi stated that the manga will continue a little longer.

JJK and MHA manga serialization
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga started serializing in Shueisha’s WSJ in March 2018 and Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia in July 2014.
As of April 2024, the Jujutsu Kaisen chapters have been collected into 26 tankobon volumes, and My Hero Academia chapters into 40 tankobon volumes.
