Mobile-RPG game, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is getting a global launch following its initial release on November 21, 2023. The announcement was made at the Juju Fes 2024 along with the announcement of the Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory/ Premature Death compilation movie. Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is now available for pre-registration on both Android and iOS devices. Earlier, the PC Version was released this year on April 16, 2024.
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is based on the fan-favorite manga and anime series ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ which is also set to end in about 5 chapters. The game also features an original story from the anime and a mobile game exclusive story along with some lesser-known facts about Jujutsu. The game recreates the anime’s story with new full voice acting, allowing the player to experience the storyline from different perspectives of various characters.
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade was first announced in Weekly Shonen Jump’s issue 28th in 2021 and later on the anime’s official X account on June 14, 2021. The game developed by Sumzap Inc. & TOHO Co. Ltd. was initially scheduled for launch in 2022 but got delayed to 2023 and was eventually released in Japan last year. On March 7, 2022, a special initiative for the game was revealed, wherein the game’s opening movie was animated by MAPPA and featured the song “Avant” by Eve. It also introduced two first-year students, Saki and Kaito, and their principal, Kensuke, three new characters from the Fukuoka branch of Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade Global Release Date
Now, it has been confirmed through a post on the game’s official X Account that the game is set for a worldwide launch in 2024, supporting multiple languages. BILIBILI HK Ltd. will supervise the distribution responsibility, while Sumzap handle the game development. Even though there is no official information regarding the release date, the game is expected to launch on December 5, 2024, according to its iOS store listing. Just like in the anime, the players can battle and exorcise the cursed spirits by manipulating the cursed energy and utilizing cursed techniques. Players can choose from multiple characters to play and make their jujutsu team to battle enemies. Players level up their characters by battling cursed spirits in their domains. The game also includes new scenes known as “Recollection Bits,” through which players can improve the ability of the characters.
