It has been a few months since the Jujutsu Kaisen manga concluded. Like a typical Shonen plot, it ended with the antagonist’s death at the protagonist’s hands. Even though it was one of the most popular manga in the last few years, fans were not quite satisfied with the ending Gege Akutami planned for them. Several things looked like they were out of place.
One of the complaints often related to the manga’s ending was that it was too rushed. As a result, a new fan-made version of Jujutsu Kaisen manga has surfaced, which aims to fix the manga’s controversial ending. The fan-made Jujutsu Kaisen manga is known as Jujutsu No Kaisen, and its first chapter has been released.

What is Jujutsu No Kaisen?
Jujutsu No Kaisen is a fan-made manga that aims to correct the mistakes of Gege Akutami’s masterpiece. Jujutsu Kaisen has left several plots untouched, such as Ryomen Sukuna’s backstory and how exactly Satoru Gojo ended up getting hit. The story was also quite rushed after Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna’s battle started. Jujutsu No Kaisen manga begins from Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 236 after Sukuna killed Gojo.
It has only been a day since the first chapter was released, and fans can see a clear distinction between the original and the fan-made manga. While the artwork is definitely not up to Gege Akutami’s level, the plot has been stretched to connect the missing dots. The controversial ending left the JJK fandom fuming. It will be interesting to see how the fan-made manga deals with the controversial parts.
What Was the Controversy Surrounding Jujutsu Kaisen?
Jujutsu Kaisen had a promising plot. Even the anime has several awards, including two Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year Awards, one for each season. The downfall of the manga was quite visible to the fans. The pacing was quite rushed, more than half of the characters were wiped out without proper development, and there was a sudden shift in the tone, which left a bad taste. Even Sukuna’s death felt out of place.
The creators of Jujutsu No Kaisen have mentioned on their homepage that they, too, are fans and were unsatisfied with the conclusion. So, they took the initiative to start Jujutsu No Kaisen so that the fans would get a better experience. They even gave credit to Gege Akutami for the characters. The first chapter has been released, and the fans have mixed reactions to the events.
Ooooooh i get it its called Jujutsu No Kaisen because theres nothing in there remotely similar to Jujutsu Kaisen. No charm, no good paneling, no writing, not the same artstyle, no battle choreography, no grammar even, no characterizarion consistency, there truly is No Kaisen https://t.co/BbNpVLhHkN pic.twitter.com/lg03AhyZPW
