Jump Festa 2026 Day 1 turned out to be a successful day for all anime fans. This is marked by studios to stop teasing their work and bring out what they have planned for the respective franchises. This day is also the time when franchises announce their new seasons, and also open up about different long-term projects. Moments like trailer releases, cast opinions, and fandom timelines are things that we can expect out of this Festa.
Most of the time, it is noticed that the 1st day is always played safely. But this year’s Jump Festa came out swinging. It set the tone of what’s to expect from 2026 across shonen, fantasy, and long-running legacy titles. While some announcements have clarified the directions of some big-name franchises, some raise bigger questions that would become debatable over a period of time. The announcements of day one have made it clear that the coming year is going to be stacked, ambitious, and very intentional.

My Hero Academia
The event started off with a major announcement of adding a special episode, which will air on May 2nd, 2026. This episode will be titled “More,” and will adapt Chapter 43 from the manga. Along with the special episode announcement, the series also displayed a special logo, teaser visual, and landing page, in honour of their 10th anniversary. Actors Daiki Yamashita, Ayane Sakura, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yuki Kaji, and Kenta Miyake were seen on the stage during the announcements.
Rurouni Kenshin
Voice actors Soma Saito, Taku Yashiro, and Makoto Furukawa were seen attending the Rurouni Kenshin stage, where they had discussed all the highlights and key moments of the Rurouni Kenshin: The Hokkaido Arc manga.
Moriarty the Patriot
After Kenshin, we are introduced to the anime Moriarty the Patriot. This is going to be a new stage musical, and Jump Festa 2026 showcased multiple clips and trailers from the series.
Gintama
Next up is the new trailer for the upcoming Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames Arc, along with their main visual and a release date of February 13th in Japan. Voice actors and celebrated artists Tomokazu Sugita, Rie Kugimiya, and Daisuke Sakaguchi were present on stage to deliver these updates.
Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2
Next on the new anime season side, we have Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2, which showcased its first teaser trailer, as well as an additional voice cast member: Kaito Ishikawa as Sosuke Michibata. The current voice actors from the show, Reiji Kawashima, Kaede Hondo, Katsuyuki Konishi, and Akari Kito, were present on stage to deliver the latest updates.
Undead Unluck
Voice actors Yuichi Nakamura and Moe Kahara had arrived on the stage of Jump Festa to share the latest updates on Undead Unluck. The anime is set to have a special edition, which will premiere on 25th December 2025.

Assassination Classroom
Voice actor Jun Fukuyama, along with Koro-sensei, arrived on the stage at Jump Festa 2026 to showcase their previously released trailers on the anime’s upcoming movie, “Assassination Classroom The Movie: Our Time”.
KochiKame
With KochiKame’s manga awaiting its 50th anniversary celebration in September 2026, the makers were proud to announce a new anime project under its banner. Along with this new anime, a new game for KochiKame was also announced. Currently, the release dates for both are to be disclosed.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Next, the stage was taken over by Jujutsu Kaisen with voice artists Junya Enoki, Yuma Uchida, Daisuke Namikawa, and Megumi Ogata. The crew revealed a new trailer for the anime’s upcoming season 3, also revealing an additional voice cast to be a part of the anime. The trailer also revealed the anime’s new opening theme song “AIZO,” performed by King Gnu.
Oblivion Battery
The anime Oblivion Battery revealed a new visual, which was talked about by the voice cast Toshiki Masuda, Mamoru Miyano, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Yohei Azakami, and Yuki Kaji. Along with this, a 2027 release date was mentioned by the crew.
Marriagetoxin
The anime of Marrigetoxin is under production, and its updates were mentioned by anime director Motonobu Hori and manga author Joumyaku at the Jump Festa stage. They were also joined by main voice cast members Haruki Ishiya and Shion Wakayama.
Hell’s Paradise
Next major anime discussed on Jump Festa was Hell’s Paradise, showcasing their new trailer for the upcoming Season 2. Voice artist and celebrated crew members Chiaki Kobayashi, Yumiri Hanamori, Junichi Suwabe, and Yuko Kaida were present to talk about the latest development on the series.
The cast members also dwelt on some of the scenes that would take place in the upcoming series. The anime trailer also revealed their new opening theme song, “Kasuka na Hana” by Tatsuya Kitani feat BABYMETAL.
Blue Exorcist
Voice actors Nobuhiko Okamoto, Jun Fukuyama, Kana Hanazawa, and Hiroshi Kamiya took the center stage during Jump Festa 2026. The cast members talked about the appeal the series had generated over the years, and also displayed a new gameplay for the Alterna Vvelt Blue Exorcist Another Story.
Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No 8 is set to have its final arc adapted into the animated series, which was revealed by the voice cast, Masaya Fukunishi, Wataru Kato, Reiji Kawashima, and Koki Uchiyama. The crew also mentioned that the anime was also in production of a spinoff short anime, which will be focused on Gen Narumi.
Kindergarten WARS
Kindergarten Wars has announced a change in animation studios for their upcoming productions. Voice actors Atsumi Tanezaki and Kentaro Kumagai took the stage, announcing that studio SUNRISE will be taking care of the production under the direction of Shinsuke Gomi. The team also revealed a teaser visual for the same.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles
The stage was next taken over by the main voice artists of Mashle, Chiaki Kobayashi, Reiji Kawashima, and Kaito Ishikawa, talking about the anime getting its 3rd season. It was revealed that Mashle: Magic and Muscles will have a release date of 2027 for its 3rd season.
New Prince of Tennis
Next on the new anime side is the New Price of Tennis. The anime revealed a teaser visual along with a Fall 2026 premiere date. To share this news, the stage was taken over by the voice artists Junko Minagawa, Mamoru Miyano, Junichi Suwabe, and Daisuke Ono.
Chained Soldier
Chained Soldier is set to have a new anime season, and voice actors Yuya Hirose, Akari Kito, Kana Hanzawa, Yukana, and Maaya Uchida took the stage to reveal the first looks and trailer for the anime. The anime’s new opening theme, “Light, to Me” by Akari Kito, was also introduced alongside the new trailer.
World Trigger
A new anime project for “World Trigger” is set to arrive under the banner of Toei Animation, and will be covering the Border Enlistment Arc, Large-Scale Invasion Arc, and the B-Rank Wars Beginning Arc from the manga. A teaser trailer for the same was showcased at Jump Festa 2026.
Phantom Busters
Not much was revealed about the anime, except for a manga illustration created by author Neoshoco, which was displayed on the stage. Voice actors Nobuhiko Okamoto and Toshiki Masuda were present on stage to talk about the anime’s progress.
Gokurakugai
Voice actress and singer Yu Kobayashi was present on the stage of Jump Festa alongside the Jump Square editorial staff to discuss the development of the manga series. It is known that Kobayashi was the one who gave her voice for the manga’s promotional video.
SAKAMOTO DAYS
The final announcement for the 1st day came from the fan favorite anime Sakamoto Days. The 2nd season of the anime was officially announced by voice actors Sugita Tomokazu, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Daisuke Namikawa, and Koki Uchiyama. A teaser trailer and some visuals from the upcoming anime were also released.
