Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is scheduled for a 2025 release window in a new announcement. The announcement along with a new teaser was shared on TOHO Animation’s Official YouTube channel and Kaiju No. 8 (X). Earlier, the sequel was announced to be in production on June 29, 2024, along with the voice actor for Gen Narumi “Koki Uchiyama”. “Hoshina’s Day-off“, an original episode along with a compilation of Season 1 is also announced to be in production in the new clip.
Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 of the anime series aired from April 13, 2024, to June 29, 2024, for 12 episodes on TV Tokyo. The anime is based on original Japanese manga by “Naoya Matsumoto” serialized in Shounen Jump+ since July 3, 2020 along with a spinoff titled “Kaiju No. 8 Side: B”, published from January 5, 2024, to July 12, 2024, covering a total of 12 chapters in 2 volumes.

Kaiju No. 8 Plot
Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man working in an agency tasked with cleaning up the remains of Kaiju killed by the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, finds himself in a strange situation when a strange parasite enters his body, allowing him to transform into a Human-Kaiju hybrid. Along with his new coworker at the agency, he decides to join the Defense Force to save people from the destruction caused by Kaijus and fulfill a promise made to his childhood friend Mina Ashiro.
