Kaiju No. 8 chapter 126 featured Mina Ashiro firing the Keraunos, only to be countered by the Meireki Era Monsters. While Keraunos can blast through any Kaiju, the antagonist countered it by using a blast from its mouth. With the weapon getting overheated, all the officials panicked as it might be the end of everything. Just when everyone lost hope, Kikoru Shinomiya arrived. From the beginning of the series, it was well-known that she was a prodigy, and proved it by being the first one to use two Numbers Weapon together.
However, she one-upped everyone in the latest chapter by showcasing her resolve. Her power was down to 51.8%, but her grit and determination to avenge her father helped her gather energy for one last strike. The number jumped to 93%, and using Numbers Weapon 4, which belonged to her mother, she landed a final strike on the monster, making it lose balance and let Keraunos pass through it, exposing the core. It was Kikoru’s final effort that might have changed the course of the battle towards the humans once and for all.
Kafka Hibino Is Set To Conclude The Battle
After Mina Ashiro and Kikoru Shinomiya’s efforts expose the Meireki Era Monster’s core, Kaiju No. 8 chapter 126 concluded with Kafka Hibino standing near it, putting everything in his final blow. The final blow is yet to be featured and is likely to be featured in the upcoming chapter. However, as things stand, the protagonist will be the one to conclude the fight by breaking the core. After battling for hours, the humans are on the verge of victory.
However, there is always a “but” when it comes to powerful antagonists since they always have some tricks up their sleeves. Even when the Keraunos was fired, the monster managed to counter it. By the looks of it, the climax is well upon us, but until and unless Kafka Hibino breaks the core, nothing can be said with surety.
