Having previously initiated immensely successful anime-themed events like WcDonalds, our new mascot has big shoes to fill and she is rocking it! PS: It’s a looooooong name right?! The name of McDonald’s new anime mascotImadakedabuchitabemi” means “Now Only, Try eating a double cheeseburger!” @McDonaldsJapan revealed the anime mascot on X(formerly Twitter), where it was stated that she would only be present for a short time. This is because McDonald’s Japan has released their limited-time menu items which are tasty iterations of, you guessed it, double cheeseburgers!

McDonald’s Anime Mascot Becomes A Viral Sensation

Fashioned with pigtails, a blushing smile, and a dress featuring McDonald’s red and yellow color theme, Imadakedabuchitabemi has surely won the hearts of the people and has gone viral. With more than 19.6 million views, 105,000 likes, and 10,000 reposts on X, it’s safe to say that she is doing her job like a pro! Her long name along with her cute looks can arrest our curiosity like no one else!



WcDonald’s – Ring Any Bells?

If you were wondering whether Imadakedabuchitabemi is the only anime-inspired project undertaken by McDonald’s then you’re mistaken! McDonald’s USA unleashed the “WcDonald’s” anime-themed event on February 26, 2024. Spanning a couple of months, the event comprised a special, limited-time Savoury Chilli WcDonald’s Sauce, manga packaging as well as anime shots! McDonald’s teamed up with manga artist Acky Bright to design custom manga-themed packaging. Additionally, partnering with Studio Pierrot, WcDonald’s released anime shots in tandem with manga releases featuring the four subgenres of action, romance, mecha, and fantasy.

So don’t worry, we can hope for more exciting anime collaborations in the future! McDonald’s doesn’t disappoint the otaku in us.
