My Hero Academia Vigilantes released a new trailer on March 10, 2025, and got everyone riled up for its premiere. My Hero Academia needs no introduction, and its conclusion left the fandom grief-stricken, but with Vigilantes, they will once get the same Hero vs. Villain vibe. While it is based five years before the original timeline, it will have plenty of action and bring back the same Quirky battles with the villains thriving in chaos while the heroes try to water down their efforts. My Hero Academia Vigilantes trailer not only introduced new characters but also brought back the characters the fandom is more familiar with. Along with the trailer, the fans were also treated to new key visuals.
MHA Vigilantes Trailer Revealed Several Pro-Heroes
My Hero Academia Vigilantes is based on Koichi Haimawari’s journey to be vigilant, along with Knuckleduster and Pop Step. The trailer pretty much summed up their roles for the upcoming series, but the most entertaining part remains when the Pro-Heroes were revealed. Shota Aizawa, the homeroom teacher of Izuku Midoriya’s class, will be seen fulfilling his Pro-Hero duties.
Other than him, All Might, Endeavour, Present Mike, Midnight, etc., several Pro-Heroes were shown in the trailer. One of those Pro-Heroes happened to be Tensei Lida, the elder brother of Tenya Lida. Unfortunately, he was introduced in the main series as a former Pro-Hero after Hero Killer Stain ended his Pro-Hero career. However, fans will get to experience his Pro-Hero days in MHA Vigilantes.
When Will My Hero Academia Vigilantes Release?
My Hero Academia Vigilantes is scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2025, at 23:00 JST. It will follow a weekly schedule but might change based on the situation. Fans outside Asia can stream the anime on Crunchyroll, but there is no news about the number of episodes the anime will have.
My Hero Academia Vigilantes Opening Theme
Apart from the trailer and key visuals, the Opening Theme of My Hero Academia Vigilantes has also been revealed. The Opening Theme is “Kekkaourai” and is sung by Kocchino Kento. Kocchino Kento’s real name is Kento Suga, and he won the Best New Artist at Japan Record Awards 2024. Previously, he sang “Tiny,” “Donguri Game,” “Time Lapse,” etc. The song artist also released a comment regarding his song being chosen as the Opening Theme.
I’ve always loved this work and have read it, so when I heard they decided to compose the song, I was filled with joy and gratitude that they chose me.
This is also my first anime OP song.
I am truly blessed to be able to walk this path together with the main character, Haimawa Koichi.
I am very confident about this song.
I did my best to help the anime Vigilante.
