My Dress-Up Darling is a Rom-Com and Slice of Life manga. By 2024, it had already sold more than 10 million manga copies. Marin Kitagawa’s merchandise has become quite popular on online shopping sites, which has helped it become a multi-million dollar franchise. Apart from that, the manga was also adapted into an anime.
When Did My Dress-Up Darling Began?
Shinichi Fukuda’s My Dress-Up Darling began its serialization on January 19, 2028. Currently, the manga is divided into 13 volumes, which cover chapter 102. As of now, 114 chapters have been released, and chapter 115 will mark the end of the manga. Seeing its popularity, the manga was adapted into an anime.
My Dress-Up Darling anime was released on October 9, 2024, and ran till December 11, 2024, covering a total of 10 episodes. A sequel to the anime is scheduled to be released in 2025, but nothing specific has been revealed yet. Shinichi Fukuda’s masterpiece was even adapted into a live-action drama series in late 2024.

My Dress-Up Darling follows the life of an introverted boy named Wakana Gojo. Gojo creates excellent hina dolls and excels at making clothes but he does not reveal his talent to others. However, the most popular girl in his class, Marin Kitagawa, discovers his talent. Looking past his weird nature, Kitagawa encourages Gojo to try and make cosplay costumes. Slowly, the protagonist builds up his confidence, and together, they create new and unique cosplay costumes.
When Will My Dress-Up Darling Conclude?
My Dress-Up Darling is scheduled to end on March 21, 2025, with the release of chapter 115. Chapter 114 was released on February 21, 2025, and the end panel confirmed that the next chapter will be the last one. The last panel of My Dress-Up Darling chapter 114 ended by saying, “From now on too, we’ll be together. Next time – the final chapter.” MangaAlerts and Shinichi Fukuda’s official X (Twitter) confirmed the news about the manga ending.
