Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) is one of the most loved anime franchises of the modern generation. They also released several movies featuring the main characters of the anime. The latest film was My Hero Academia The Movie 4: You’re Next, which was released on August 2, 2024, in Japan, three days before the manga’s final chapter.
Under Tensai Okamura’s direction and animated by Bones, it became one of the highest-grossing movies of that year. Later, in 2024, the movie was released theatrically in different parts of the world, and on February 19, 2025, it was released on DVD and Blu-ray. My Hero Academia The Movie 4: You’re Next will be available to stream on Netflix from April 20, 2025. The 110-minute-long movie will be available in multiple languages. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Netflix Anime announced that the movie will be coming to Netflix in the United States, Canada, and many more regions.

My Hero Academia The Movie 4: You’re Next Is Canon
Most of the popular anime franchises have released movies, which brought a massive turnover for them. However, these movies are not always canon and are made following a completely different plot. On the other hand, My Hero Academia The Movie 4: You’re Next is canon and takes place before the Final War of the manga. The movie follows a mysterious individual who idolizes All Might like every other character and shares a connection with him. However, he starts to despise the No.1 Hero after an incident, takes up the name “Dark Might,” and causes trouble for Class 1-A.
