The world of One Punch Man is filled with Heroes, but only a handful can reach the pinnacle. For that reason, the Hero Association has introduced multiple Hero levels like C-Class, B-Class, A-Class, and S-Class. One Punch Man has introduced several Heroes who are pretty strong, but no one comes near to Saitama, even though he is only a B-Rank Hero. However, the one who sits at the top is none other than Blast, S-Class Rank 1.
Blast is so rarely seen that he is considered a legend even within the Hero Association. Seeing how legendary Blast is, fans often question whether he is a true hero or someone like King, who is always misunderstood to be someone with great abilities. Fortunately, when it comes to Blast, he is a true hero with a proper motive, and his abilities are God-like, making him the top-ranked hero without anyone doubting him.

Blast Is The Most Mysterious Figure In One Punch Man
Blast is a character who is barely ever mentioned in One Punch Man season 1, let alone in appearance. He remains one of the most mysterious characters, with very little known about his past and background. While his personal details are not disclosed, he possesses a laid-back personality and carries out his hero duty as a hobby. He does not get involved in daily hero duties and only appears when Dragon-level threats arrive. Blast likes to be secretive and independent regarding his work, and only Sitch (Hero Organization’s Minister Officer of Justice) holds some information about him.
The No. 1 Hero has a tall and muscular figure with black spiky hair. He has a bit of facial hair on his chin and greenish-yellow eyes. He wears a suit with a large white cape. Blast has been a hero for more than two decades. While he now wears black glasses, 18 years ago, he did not. It might come as a shock, but he has a son named Blue, who is the top hero of Neo Heroes. Blast is the one who saved Tatsumaki from a hybrid monster and inspired her to become a hero.
Hero Blast’s Timeline in One Punch Man
Blast’s journey began two decades ago, when he embarked on his quest for God. A couple of years later, he saved Tatsumaki from a research facility that was conducting illegal experiments on espers using the mysterious cubes that connected people with God. From then on, Blast has been investigating and fighting individuals corrupted by the cosmic being. The leader of the Ninja Village, Empty Void, happened to be one of them, and Blast still overpowered him, showcasing his strength.
Six years after facing Empty Void, Blast returns to the Ninja Village and claims the mysterious cube. A couple of years before the present year, Blast encountered God while facing the Elder Centipede. Even though it would make him more powerful, Blast refused God’s offer and started fighting him. While he did survive the battle, it left him with several scratches on his suit. Defeating God is his utmost priority, and for that, he is trying to recruit the strongest individuals who defy the laws of physics, similar to Saitama.
Blast’s Abilities Make Other S-Class Heroes Look Like Children
Blast is the strongest hero in the Hero Association, with immense strength, durability, and speed. He is so fast that he can easily outpace Flashy Flash, without the latter noticing it. S-Class Rank 1 can withstand cosmic radiation and can survive in space for some duration, too. His special ability is the creation of portals that let him travel anywhere on the planet as well as dimensional travel instantaneously.
Other overpowered abilities of Blast involve flight, telepathy, and gravitational manipulation. He can assess energy, helping him to analyse the power behind a strike, allowing him to take necessary measures. If required, he can even teleport others through his portal with ease. Thanks to his abilities, he is the only person to have established unimaginable feats like fighting “God” and coming out alive, and defeating Elder Centipede. Blast mainly works to stop “God” from manipulating individuals by collecting mysterious cubes that can be used to communicate with “God”.
