One Punch Man Season 3 was the most highly-anticipated anime to come out in the Fall 2025 anime season. However, the anime has been anything but great. While fans know that the one at fault is not the anime’s staff but the producers over at Bandai Namco Filmworks, it has been difficult for them not to criticize the series.

Notably so, ever since the anime premiered, fans have been pointing out the animation mistakes featured in the episodes. While this may seem like poor practice to others, fans are only pointing out the mistakes because they hate how the studio is ruining the franchise. So, let’s take a look at all the mistakes fans have succeeded in finding in One Punch Man Season 3.

Every Mistake Fans Have Noticed in One Punch Man Season 3

1. Garou’s walk in Episode 1

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Garous walk

While One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 1 wasn’t really bad, it had one major flaw at the end of the episode. As Garou can be seen walking within the Monster Association’s base, his walk was animated very poorly. His shoulders notably made it seem like he was walking diagonally rather than straight.

2. Garou’s slide in Episode 2 (One Frame Man)

Similar to the anime’s first episode, the second episode wasn’t really well animated. However, what fans noted the most was Garou’s slide on the grass. It almost seemed like the animators had simply moved his PNG down the landscape for the scene. They could have easily avoided the scene from looking that bad by animating his feet.

3. Royal Ripper having breasts in Episode 3

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Royal Ripper

As fans must know, Royal Ripper is a man, but not according to J.C. Staff, as One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 3 showed the monster with breasts. Garou was fighting Royal Ripper when one scene showed him with a larger chest than usual.

4. Atomic Samurai’s PNG head cut in Episode 6

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Atomic Samurai

While every mistake until episode 5 can be accounted for by animation quality errors, Episode 6 had a mistake that should never have come to fruition. While the S-Class Heroes were in a meeting, a scene that showed Atomic Samurai from behind his head had a glaring error. Atomic Samurai’s head was cut off midway when the camera panned upward. From the look of it, it seems like he was merely a PNG image that was poorly placed.

5. Genos’ walk in Episode 6

If One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 6 wasn’t already bad enough, the episode also featured another walking animation mishap, but this time with Genos. He had arrived with new upgrades before the conflict against the Monster Association. Unfortunately, the staff animated his walk very poorly.

6. Genos’ suit design was butchered in Episode 6

Unfortunately, the mistakes with Genos’ animation did not just stop with his walk but also with his suit design. In the manga, his new suit design was notably very detailed. However, when J.C. Staff animated it, they butchered it with their animation.

7. Captain Mizuki Censorship and Animation Mistakes in Episode 7

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Mizuki

While One Punch Man fans had been waiting for Captain Mizuki to get animated for years, J.C. Staff did not do them any favors with her animation. For starters, she had a design change midway through the season, as her track shorts, which were meant to be really short, were later changed to ones that cover more of her legs. J.C. Staff could have made this design decision from the beginning of the anime, but instead chose to opt for this midway, evident from her apparel change in the opening theme song video.

If that wasn’t enough, in One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 7, there was a moment when Mizuki was drawn with six fingers, and the band-aid on her face vanished for a second.

8. Zombieman’s Door Opening Scene and Censorship in Episode 10

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Zombieman

As fans must know, One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 10 focused on the S-Class Hero Zombieman. While the episode wasn’t riddled with mistakes, there was one glaring one. When the hero was shown opening a door, his hands weren’t even animated, touching the door properly. Besides that, the anime censored his cigarette for a lollipop.

9. Atomic Samurai’s disciples’ fight in Episode 10 was closer to a slideshow than an anime

If Zombieman’s animation errors and censorship weren’t enough, One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 10 had another big issue. Atomic Samurai’s disciples had a big fight in the episode. Unfortunately, the animation staff simply drew them in a frame, slapped some impact lines, and panned the camera over them as their animation. Not to mention, when the camera did switch, it looked like a slideshow rather than an anime.

10. Zombieman’s face censorship in Episode 11

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Zombieman black face

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 11 censored Zombieman’s injured face by turning it nearly pitch black. While this is not a big mistake, the censorship took away one of the big visuals that made his fight against Homeless Emperor compelling.

11. Gearsper was removed from Episode 12

One Punch Man Season 3 Animation Mistakes Mizuki Gearsper

While for the majority part, One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 12 looked better than rest of the anime, it had one notable issue. The episode featured a scene where Captain Mizuki stopped a debris from falling over. But why is she doing that? In reality, as per the manga, Captain Mizuki was protecting Gearsper from the debris, as it could have toppled over him. Unfortunately, for some reason, the anime’s staff did not animated him.
