Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World is one of the most popular anime from the last decade. After premiering the first season in 2016, it soon became one of the most sought-after anime in the Isekai genre. The second season was released in 2020, along with two OVAs, and the third season Part 1 ‘Attack Arc’ ended on Nov. 20, 2024. Fans were eagerly waiting to see the duo, Subaru Natsuki and Emilia, again in action.
Re:Zero—Starting Life in Another World Season 3 Part 2 premieres during the first week of February 2025. But before that, the franchise gifted the fans a sneak peek into the third season part 2 by launching a trailer.
Sneak Peek into the Re:Zero Season 3 Counterattack Arc
Re:Zero season 3 Part 2 trailer revealed multiple details about the upcoming journey of Subaru Natsuki and Emilia. Apart from featuring the main protagonists, the trailer had several other characters like Regulus Corneas, Sirius Romanee-Conti, Lye Batenkaitos, and others from the Sin Archbishops of the Witch Cult. Most of the scenes in the 1-minute trailer were action-packed with blasts and hand-to-hand combat. It was not only the foes who were making a move, Subaru’s allies were also showcasing their strength in the trailer.
When Will Re:Zero Season 3 Release?
Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World Season 3 will be divided into two parts. Part 1, Attack Arc, premiered on October 2, 2024. Part 2 will feature the Counterattack arc, scheduled to release on February 5, 2025, at 10:30 PM (JST). The episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays, with an average run time of 23 minutes. In total, season 3 will have 16 episodes, with both parts having 8 episodes. The Counterattack arc will begin from episode 9 of season 3.
What to expect from Counterattack Arc of Re:Zero Season 3?
Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World Season 3 began one year after the Sanctuary Events. The main highlight of the Counterattack arc will be the battle between Subaru and his allies against the Sin Archbishops of the Witch Cult.
Part 2 will feature Subaru and Reinhard facing Regulus Corneas, the Archbishop of Greed, to retrieve Emilia. Archbishop of Wrath will go up against Liliana and Priscilla in the Fourth Tower. Wilhelm and Garfiel will be facing against the Archbishop of Lust in the First Tower. Julius and Ricardo went on to find the Archbishop of Gluttony in the Second Tower. However, Otto, who is searching for the Book of Wisdom, encounters the Archbishop of Gluttony.
